I stupidly bought a ton of TPM and AOTC stuff- wisened up by ROTS- damage done- spent a pile of money for near worthless crap now

I remember people killing each other for Darth Maul merchandise during TPM.

Then so many people crying that there weren't enough of these around at Target during 2005,

True- good thing to think about after seeing TFA...in a year or two it will be yesterday's news...

I can't understand why people make judgements so quickly, its like they don't think about afterwards and just judge the second the end titles roll. You have to see a few times to really see the full story.

Yeah, I remember people being on a high after TPM before the time for relection set in.

I even thought AOTC was better than Empire at first! I still like it, but not *that* much (I know, I'm in a small minority among OT geezers).

Hmmm... Don't know where all these negative reviews people on here keep reacting to are supposedly coming from, everything I have seen so far is absolutely glowing, some people saying it is the best next to Empire.

I read someplace these boards have agenda's..... .a few in this thread like too push their opinions cause movies they like not being received well. Best they be ignored because they won't like it anyway.

Speaking of which, Kevin Smith and other die hard fans who are always talking trash on the Phantom Menace and prequels actually said something similar back in 1999 in their glowing reviews of Episode I back in the day.

Which I will take with a grain of salt.

I am first to admit my admiration of The OT come from nostalgia. The world was different, I was 8 when New Hope dropped so the wide eyed child feeling won't be there for the new film(s). I'm a bit older since I first saw SW in theaters so my perspective is different regardless how good, average or horrible the film may be...it like won't replace Empire.
