I'm prepared to go see this mother****er every weekend through March just to get through the winter depresh.

I'll probably see this again this weekend but with The Hateful 8, The Revenant, the girlfriend wants to see The Finest Hours, and I still want to see Krampus I doubt I'll be seeing Star Wars a third time. It is a kick ass movie though.

We will disagree on convenient stories in SW...I'm not here to persuade or be persuaded how I view the films. Also disagree on the way Han's death was handled not being bold. Read the reactions of some folks...knew he was gonna die - agree. The way he died then left to drop like a piece of garbage without the fanfare people thought he deserved. Got some up in arms bitching so knowing a negative response could be forth coming when most films shy away from negativity had mini balls.

nah, I simply just enjoy DiFabio's musings, they're witty, smart and full of lolcats.

I've turned the corner on this movie, I like it.

I can see past the things that bothered me and have fun with it now.

It's certainly 100X better and more natural than the PT that's for certain.

Was star wars worse than the transformer movies for u?

I only get angry with SW because I care about it.

So was anything right in that long-winded "storyline" people were peddling around here? The one that started with Luke's lightsaber floating in space.

Most of it was pretty accurate. It was still about the lightsabre, actually from what I've read a lot of what we read about that want in episode vii will be in the next one.

Glad to see some of our resident voices ( I mean that in a positive way ) starting to like, enjoy the movie. It's not perfect at all, but it's a shame to not embrace some decent new SW action. And a lot of it is pretty decent .

I like how they gave a few seconds to show Rey savoring the green planet after a lifetime in the desert. That was a nice touch.

That reminded me of Anakin sitting in the corner, shivering and saying he was cold in TPM before Padme gives him a blanket.

If I could change/add only 3 small things they would be these:

Have a send off for Han.
Have Chewie hug Leia.
Rewrite the entire movie.

No, but Abrams would be perfectly willing to ape it: "We knew it would be tremendously bold to hire Jan Hammer and have him replicate, note for note, every steelpan beat and gated drum reverb from the sacred 80s series. And the shoulderpads . . . the fans want the shoulderpads."

The notion that JJ Abrams could ever do anything creatively "bold" is one the funniest detachments from reality I've heard in a long time.
