Some of the criticisms in this review are extreme (I don't care about the EU books and there's some language in there) but man is it funny. I never thought of Ackbar in this thing, hahaha. I forgot all about Y-wings and B-wings. Wonder what happened to those?

It wasn't really bold considering how many people predicted it before the movie even came out and before the leaks.

We will disagree on convenient stories in SW...I'm not here to persuade or be persuaded how I view the films. Also disagree on the way Han's death was handled not being bold. Read the reactions of some folks...knew he was gonna die - agree. The way he died then left to drop like a piece of garbage without the fanfare people thought he deserved. Got some up in arms bitching so knowing a negative response could be forth coming when most films shy away from negativity had mini balls.

Han's death was leaked about two years ago, around that anyway. It was one of the first leaks and it snowballed from there. If this same story/similar plot points had been told back in the 80/90's before internet forums and the age of movie leaks it would have been considered by most as a bold move to kill him off.

Part of me can't help but wonder if Kylo isn't some massively misguided "deep cover" Jedi. And that he felt he had to do something heinous like killing Han in order for Snoke to finally give him the invitation to visit him in person, thus giving Kylo the opportunity to assassinate the Supreme Leader. Of course that could still be his plan which could just be his opportunity to rule the First Order.

My 10 year old just go back from seeing this with his grandparents (I could not take him) Boy was he pissed that a certain someone died in this film... Made it his least fav Star Wars film... He was really bothered... Wish it effected me the same way [emoji38]

Ha! That's great, I remember when I watched aliens I hated it because Hudson died, he was my favorite character, but I loved it because Hudson died lol it was the first movie I saw that killed my favorite characters. It's why it's still my favorite movie.

Agreed with much of that review... I thought the romance with Fin and Rey was better then he said only because I was never sure if they were even falling for each other... Perhaps it;'s just because the acting was better.

Yeah, from the looks of those numbers, I don't see it beating Avatar....domestically maybe, but not globally.

The test will be in the weekly percentage drop. Impossible to forecast total profits without any idea of what the dropoff will be. But I don't know, with no competition until BvS in March I could see this just steamrolling every record ever. We'll see.

Kung Fu Panda and Dead Pool come out before BVS. China will also be an important factor, because SW isn't known over there, but they do like robots over there. I just don't see this film making an additional 2.3 billion. That's a very big number.
