As a kid I was always fascinated with the droid testing Luke's hand nerve endings, then closing the panel. That was a really nice touch. It's like he had a brand new hand, flesh, nails and all.

Oh yes, it was "real" to the point that he chose that hand to place on Leia's shoulder. Very cool.

I'm guessing his fake skin just peeled off over time and he just didn't care to replace it.

Secluded for decades...all alone....I'm sure there's a logical reason for the rubber skin peeling away, like excessive use, maybe? :monkey3

That reminds me of the episode from Big Bang Theory where Howard got a robot hand stuck on his *****. :lol

The real ridiculous thing is that those that love should be able to without those that hate it trying to convince they shouldn't AND vice versa. Some folks will love something and some will hate it. Neither side is right or wrong. It's just personal taste, but in today's Internet world everyone wants to PROVE they're right.

Agreed. :duff

Who really cares if some clown, not you Clown Prince :lol, loves or hates TFA? It's just their opinion.

Can't we all just get along?

As a 44 year old "(tomorrow) I can say with pride I got choked up several times during the movie. The older I get, the more I realize its these things that make up happiness in life.
I can get emotional at my daughters first recital, or seeing me son finish a model he's been working on, hearing a song that reminds me of a place and time gone by....

With all the crap in the world to deal with , finding something that reminds you a purity and happiness of an earlier time can be a great joy. I am glad I Killed the cynic inside me that felt it was not tough, cool or other wise manly to feel, those emotions..... they can be the best thing you feel.....

I have had enough personal death tragedy and sadness in my life not to let the little moments of simple joy seep through.....

Yep, feeling emotions is living man. I love that silly things like movies can touch our souls. If they were just an exercise in sitting back and being mildly impressed or unimpressed for hours on end then what would be the point? And then spending hours talking to strangers about them? What a colossal waste of time if they never really get to you.

Now I never stated that it was wrong for a man to cry, especially if it involves your own kids and those special moments we all hold dear. I'm not that much of a cold hearted bastard.

But crying when you see a Star Wars crawl for the thousandth time, or Harrison Ford jirating a bit in 3D when he proclaims "they're home" or a pan back revealing grandpa Vader's damaged helmet? Blubbering over those things are just shameful, right up there with those forced, fake trailer reactions that really started to trend with Force Awakens. Grow the **** up.
