Besides, I always Thought KK came off kind of bitchy.

Whereas DR is ebullient and just seems so genuine and kind, just look at the way she reacts to kids and fans.

Absolutely, he did an amazing job of finding charismatic, likable and engaging leads for TFA. Not to even mention that he one-upped R2 with BB-8! if the Original Star Wars was lightning in a bottle, JJ got himself a lightning rod.

Agreed 100%. Rey, Finn, Poe and BB-8 all fit just as seamlessly with the original cast as Lando did when he was introduced in ESB. Pretty amazing.

But the tension at the resistance base when the FO was coming after them at the climax seemed forced when compared to ANH.

Their dialogue had no weight.

Oh well, I still like the movie.
