Since people are posting their collections of specific characters I thought I would share my Kylo Ren collection. It's not a lot but I absolutely love the character and I buy what I think is cool.

No. I would not want them to do that to Carrie Fisher.

Also, though she feels the Force Leia isn't a Jedi. I think she'd rather just blast him.

It just goes to show you the turnaround time needed to get figures into production. Because I'm absolutely sure Hasbro will release a figure of Luke in that look at some point. But even they were apparently totally in the dark prior to the film's release.

Disney is probably the only one that had early design information covering the full breadth of the film, given Leia there, but also their diecast Rey started shipping with a lightsaber right after the movie was released.

There's no Funkos yet either

The day of release, actually.

One reason why it's safer for Disney to share all the info with their Disney Store folks, is because they control the supply chain of those products. From design to inventory in the individual stores every person involved is a Disney employee (save for delivery folks, but all they see are plain boxes anyway).

Very different from stuff coming from licensees like Hasbro and going through various separate retail supply chains. Disney has no control over potential leaks there.
