1997 ESB would indeed have the horrible Luke scream. I wonder if they're doing the 97 versions because those are the latest versions that actually exist on film.

And the original ewok celebration song from ROTJ

I am so glad I possess the Lucas cut DVDs of the OT

Who'd thought those would be gems

:lol

Oh, and by the way... saw TFA 3 times in the theaters and I don't ever see the same movie more than once at the theaters.
On release day in RealD 3D. Second viewing in IMAX 3D (3 days later). The last viewing in a small theater while I was on vacation in Mammoth Lakes. Relatively small town in the mountains (awesome for snowboarding :rock), but they were playing this movie. :lol

Thankfully SW gets it more right than wrong when it comes to planet names that are easy to remember.

Tatooine, Endor, Alderaan, Hoth, Dagobah, Bespin, Coruscant, Naboo, Kamino, Mustafar, Jakku, Starkiller.

I don't remember the name of the planet where Obi-Wan killed Grievous or Maz's and Resistance planets.

Hosnian what lol.

Just saw this on youtube.

I'm definitely down for an Obi-Wan standalone movie! :yess:

Yeah he really wants to do the film too. :hi5:

Did anyone think it was funny that when John Boyega auditioned for TFA he had to reaudition so many times as they said in the bonus features. And he was the SW fanboy :lol

I thought it was funny and great hearing his reaction when he was told that he got the part. :lol

I think people need to be reminded of how annoying Luke was in the first Star Wars.

I thought Luke was very annoying until the end of ANH. :lol

I think people need to be reminded of how annoying karamazov80 is.

:monkey3

Fair enough. Though with Khev, no one needs reminding :monkey1

Like Father like Son

Anakin was extremely annoying

Weird how the force made Luke lose the anger and mature, but Anakin got more annoying as he became a Jedi

Maybe the difference with Luke being trained by Yoda

I wish I kept my remastered vhs versions from the mid 90's before they did the special editions.

I have all my vhs versions in storage as well as the gold, silver, etc DVDs sets :lol yikes I'm a hoarder :slap

The only ones I have in the house are the Lucas OT dvd cuts and six film blu Ray

I guess I should've went with Tuco. :lol
If I had to pick a character from another westerns that it would make sense for him to emulate, maybe the reluctant hero like Gary Cooper in High Noon. He has turned into a peacenik in his time away from the star wars, but has to fight back to combat the evil Sandpeople or whatever. Or, mysterious stranger hero like Shane.

No please no more westerns :gah:

Thank god we see less of them being made lately.

Be fun to find out for real how Tusken Raiders really do return...in greater numbers. This idea has some real promise. Hope they run with it, better than a young Han Solo movie.

Yup.

And you know Obi-Wan hit up a bunch of Cantina and space ports considering he knows his "wretched hive of scum and villainy". I'm sure he had run ins with tons of aliens and bounty hunter denizens. So much potential.

What? What's wrong with Westerns? When they're done well, they're great. A Star Wars Western that takes place on Tatooine for the majority of the film with Obi-Wan as the protagonist going up against gunslingers and lawlessness? That'd be awesome.

He was a cultured and eloquent Jedi Knight that decides to become a hermit for the rest of his life on a harsh planet and environment. That's a great dynamic.
