Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I lost a lot of respect for Pegg when he wouldn't shut up about how bad the prequels were. Sure there are a lot of folks who hate them, but there are also many who enjoy them, either in whole or in parts... and the constant harping on and on by Pegg about how awful they were really didnt help. If you dont like something, sure, mention it, put your side across, then let it go. Everyone in entitled to their own opinion, but please dont go on and on and on ad infinitum like the proverbial broken record. it gets old really fast.

Rant over

I gained respect for him. Though I agree with everything he has ever said about them so perhaps thats to be expected.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Even . . . Darth Vader?

I'm sure he'll be in it, I sure Disney didn't spend 4 Billion to not use him or market him.

I really don't see how he can be in it, other than a as a force ghost though....unless he never died in ROTJ?

Maybe Luke kept him alive and in the shuttle as he escaped the Death Star and only burned the suit? He just cared for Vader in hiding? I don't know? I haven' had my coffee yet!

Anakin force ghost makes it tougher to bring Vader back. It would also **** all over Luke 'saving' him in ROTJ. I don't disagree with you, though. Disney would try to make it work.

I guess you can have Star Wars without Vader. They pretty much did it in the prequels. I just don't see how he can be in the new films.

Ah but theres a work-around for that because Anakin's force ghost was deleted as of the DVD editions if I'm not mistaken. He was replaced by some random dude with long hair and a rapist leer. I thought it was an odd choice by Lucas. However it could mean Vader is alive just like scenario Darthrazz described.

What if Luke did only burn the suit? Think about it, Vader was the greatest war criminal in the galaxy. I'm sure he would be put on trial and eventually killed. Even though he was "saved" he couldn't just show up at and tell everyone, "Hey sorry for everything, I'm a good guy now".

So Luke tells everyone he's dead, he nurses him back to health and he lives in hiding with Luke...until the whispers of the Dark Side call him once again (pretty much you can never leave the Dark Side kind of thing) and he becomes Evil again and finally takes Luke as his apprentice....I think there's crack in my coffee today.

It'll be Darth Vader's clone, sorta like that Boba Fett clone child. They'll make him green or orange instead of black so kids can know the difference, but otherwise he'll look, sound, and act pretty much the same. He might be able to fly this time, but don't hold me to that.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

The force ghost only appeared to Luke.

Vader is dead. :lecture

Drink more coffee, I know I will be...

Layzor beams out of the eyes gets my vote.

I hope there is an army of Vaders, all dressed the same.

More clones is what Star Wars needs.

Yes! and each clone would be dumber than the other , like in the Simpsons episode where Homer clones himself.:rotfl

It's already ruined with the new scene of having Vader yell, "Noo, NOOOOOO" in the suit before he picks up the Emperors *** and throws him down the chasm. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

GL felt the audience were too dumb to figure out the characters emotions on their own.

Thank you George for spelling out for us that Vader was concerned for his son with a big NO!.

:lol
