Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I just hope JJ isn't planning to do a Superman Returns on this film and do too much of a homage to the first film- so it follows it too closely in look and story arcs......

I hope he doesn't choose ROTJ to homage, but if he does I hope he homages the good half. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

with the age of the actors its going to be 30 years after jedi, so i dont think that will be the case.

Exactly, think of this, continuity-wise, as the Indy 4 of the Star Wars franchise. Exactly the same situation - a delayed sequel, with in-universe time passed in proportion with real world time passed.

Whatever the case, I'm just waiting for The Boys are Back in Town to play as an older, grayer, and tubbier, Han, Luke, and Chewbacca saunter into Mos Eisley. :lol

The one without the Ewoks and Ford's stellar performance- STILL hard to watch!

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Quit being so generous. :D

I remember being 16 the week ROTJ was released and Nightline with Ted Koppel had one of the first reviews, which was all flash no substance, big drop in quality from ESB.

I didn't want to hear it, never watched Koppel Nightline again, screw his excellent journalism. :lol

IGN:

another rumor has surfaced today that feels more far-fetched. A site called Talkbacker.com claims that their sources say Episode VII will be called A New Dawn. And that a 1:1 scale "cross section" of the Millennium Falcon is being built at Pinewood Studios, along with "a power plant set and the famous cantina." Well, we'll see…

Psssht. Why build any of those things when you can use an existing brewery?

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I have zero interest in seeing the cantina from Mos Eisley.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I think A new Dawn would be not even so bad.. building the bridge to A new Hope ...

Cantina in Mos Eisley .. HELL YEAH FOR ME !!
