Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I don't have a problem with older characters returning. It's how they're used... I don't want to see Han and Leia acting like Indy and Marion did in KOTCS and a bunch of stupid "in-jokes". :monkey4 I want them to be true to their characters in the OT.

Yeah, agreed. :lecture

More substance, less star jumps. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

This isn't what everybody's basing the "Ford's holding out" deal on, is it? That sounded like more of a smartass remark (which he's notorious for) than anything serious. :lol

:lecture

If Ford is back (duh) he's signed non-disclosures and all that. He can't acknowledge his participation until Disney/LFL give him permission. Standard operating procedure for any big tent-pole film.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Harrison Ford and Benedict Cumberbatch are both on Graham Norton right now. When asked about Star Wars, both were very mumbly and deflected the questions. Awesome that they'll probably be facing off in 2 years.

I don't know if its just that I'm drunk at time of this post, but I found that clip hilarious. And am more certain than ever that Harrison needs to be in this film. It would be an immense disappointment now if he wasn't.

Will Chewie be grey? He may just look like a tall Ewok. :lol

Yeah the last thing i'd expect Ford to say was 'I'm returning as Han Solo in the new Star Wars film' even if he'd signed a contract and it didn't have a no-disclosure clause. Ford simply doesn't give easy answers during interviews, they leave that to Dave Prowse :slap:lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Ford will be there cant see him wanting to miss out on this, they should pay him $300 million or something he's still the big name..:monkey1

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

perhaps he will return if it is agreed that Han will be killed off?

Good thought, I have wondered the same if he would only return if they agree he could go out with blasters blazing.

:lol **** the film's budget. Let's just give all the money to Ford and film him talking to the camera in a Green Screen booth. :cuckoo:

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Ford is in Ender's Game
Ford is in Anchorman 2
Ford is in The Expendables 3
Ford is well beyond pretending it's about anything other than a paycheck.

Which is no joke. I'm assuming he's getting Willis' payday of $3mil for 4 days of shooting.

That's a lot of Sideshow pre-orders.

I wonder if Ford's name will appear before or after Statham's on the poster...

You forgot Cannibal Campout 2. :rotfl

I would pay to see that.
