But Han didn't have midiclorians!

Everything has Midichlorians!

How do you think Han dodged Greedo's shot? The Force!

They do it without your consent.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I'd like to see him in all three since I like Ford a lot, but I think it would be great for Han's arc if he dies doing something important and heroic at the end. Other characters don't really need to be killed off with him. They could just have Luke and Leia kind of recede into the background.

....

Han Dies as we met him. In a cantina. In much the same way that He kills Greedo. He's shot by someone, caught unawares, and left to die.

His past finaly catches up to him.

It's a little dark, but it MIGHT be a fitting way to end it.

IF they decide to kill him off.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

That only works if they make Han a villain, which they won't.

If Han dies it would be heroic - giving his life for something important, not an ironic tie-in to his smuggler past.

Why are people so obsessed by the idea of Han dying. What has everyone got against Han?

I think if Han is dying, the Falcon should die with him. Also, just because the cast might sign up for multiple movies doesn't mean they're safe to live through the first movie. I think Han dying in this first act of the trilogy would serve as a great internal conflict for the protagonists and it would also show the gravity of the situation for both our heroes and the galaxy. No one is safe. And this new enemy that takes down such a beloved hero will be hated and feared by both the characters and the audiences. Finding a suitable replacement for Vader, Palpatine, and the Imperial Forces won't be easy and such a bold decision as killing off a Han Solo could help.

Han Solo doesn't need to die. But I am not against it happening. Harrison Ford expressed a desire for it to happen in RotJ and him returning makes us all suspect that is a plot element that could be included. Seeing him gunned down in a blaze of glory would also solidify the fact he is a total bad *** no matter how much he changed as a character in RotJ and in all of the SEs' edits. If Han Solo lives or dies, I will be happy so long as the rest of the story holds up.

People are gonna be surprised when this movie drops and it's 90 minutes of Eggs Bennidict Slumbermunch and 35 seconds of Harrison on the radio explaining why Hutts shouldn't be trusted. :lol

There was a time I would have agreed but I now see the Falcon as a character, just like Threepio or Artoo. One of the reasons the prequels did not feel like Star Wars was the lack of it's most iconic spaceships. Going forward the Falcon needs to be there from time to time even if Han is not.
