Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Why are people so obsessed by the idea of Han dying. What has everyone got against Han?

I don't think anyone has anything against him. It's just known that Ford wanted the character to bite it and now that there are more films with a possible return of Han its on everyones mind. Blame Harrison Ford. :lol

Bill Murray also stated he'd only return to a Ghostbusters sequel if he were to be killed off. What we need is a ghost buddy comedy about Venkman and Han.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I think that Han should die by just giving up the will to live during Episode 7. I know it's risky , but if done right, it works. Few have done it , but Lucas pulled it off perfectly in Episode 3 with Amidala. :monkey3

God that was such an atrocious piece of writing. I wonder did Natalie Portman not have any objections to it at all.

I remember reading an article where Natalie said one of her greatest regrets was showing her *** in a Wes Anderson short and thinking really? You were in Attack of the Clowns sweetheart...

Well its not like the robot was actually there reading the lines next to her. George probably said, "Just exhale, turn your head, and lie still. Cut, and that's a wrap! Don't worry, we'll add a CG robot in later that will look cool and have totally dramatic dialogue."

Good point. She may well have just assumed she was dying from being force choked. Little did she know the true absurdity of what George intended.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I like to think of it less giving up the will to live and more that a robot made her go through childbirth on a floating surfboard. What could possibly go wrong?

Whoever came up with that scene has never witnessed a birth before. Because women lie perfectly still during that sh-t. :monkey1

George also has no idea what a tiny skinny woman nine months pregnant with twins would look like either. Running down the ship ramp with a tiny baby bump on Mustafar? Um, nope. :lol

They penetrate you and get inside you. That's all I know.

No, no, that's the Force. Y'know, a mystical energy field created by all living things. I don't WHAT these midichlorian things might be... :dunno

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I think Episode VII should open with Han walking into a cantina and just blowing everyone away.

i would ****ing love that lol, i know they are building a cantina, they should have a bad *** scene in there wth Han And luke.

The Force wouldn't exist without Midichlorians. ...or is it Midichlorians wouldn't exist without The Force? Dammit Lucas...

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

BAD:

According to JediNews Harrison Ford is all but signed on the line which is dotted for Star Wars: Episode VII, but it took a long time because he had some demands outside of the money he would be paid for sleepwalking trhough the film. According to the site Ford had a whole host of demands, the most troubling of which was that Indiana Jones 5 would get started.

Was that just a negotiating tactic to make them leave him alone? Who could be so monstrous as to demand Indy 5? The good news is that, if JediNews is to be believed, Ford couldn't get Lucasfilm to commit to the actual movie, but did get them to agree to have a treatment or some such **** finished by next year.

Also on Ford's list of demands: he wanted to okay Han Solo's entire story arc for the new trilogy, which I guess means he doesn't get the sweet embrace of death in Episode VII. Apparently what Ford was given made him happy enough.

Is this true? I don't know. I do know that Episode VII causing Indiana Jones 5 to happen is like my worst nightmares coming true. Why can't these franchises be left well enough alone?

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Honestly the only reason I can see Ford wanting Indy 5 or even 2 SW sequels is a paycheck. I remember on Conan when asked if he'd consider doing another he rubbed his fingers togeather to say it'd be about money. Doesn't really bode well.
