I dunno. My feeling is that this bit of casting contains a few shades of misdirection (aside from the obvious names of the characters).

The brief descriptions of the character is probably just enough to give the actor a baring for what to portray during their casting call. Seems so late in the game for casting to me, probaby pretty minor character or even maybe for the next films.

I bet it's Solo's kid. Han disappeared from the family home and left Leia to bring up junior. Now all sorts of fun family drama ensues when he has to go and find his "dad'.

The names are obvious pseudoyms for the actual characters but interesting in that they don't appear to be related to Skywalkers or Solos. (Unless Lando, Han and Leia enjoy teh' kinky).

Looks like the rumours that the Solo twins and other characters from the EU not being in the film are true?????

Well the girl sounds like Tahiri, but there's nothing to indicate the twins won't be there---in casting it's not likely they would indicate that two characters would be twins anyways so that they don't give anything away.

Well the girl sounds like Tahiri, but there's nothing to indicate the twins won't be there---in casting it's not likely they would indicate that two characters would be twins anyways so that they don't give anything away.

What with one being "mixed-race" and the other "caucasian", is that biologically possible for twins especially seeing as both parents are caucasian?

The male could be a Han-Leia child and that could be something totally fresh and nothing to do with the EU, which i can see as much more likely. The female like whats been mentioned elsewhere could be a child of Lando and another so far unknown character?

I wasn't talking about this casting call specifically--there was a casting call a while back with several more young people. Of course these aren't the only two young characters in the movie.

She was intorduced into the star wars universe By Timothy Zhan in the Hier to the Empire trilogy. She died around the time Ben skywalker was 11.

I Agree, that sounds ALOT Like Tahiri Veila, IF we're to assume it's based on an existing character. She DOES grow up on Tatioone, and is the orphaned child of moisture farmers.

The male Makes me Think of Zekk.

The more I think about it, the more I think that the new characters will be something COMPLETELY new, and not skywalkers or Solos.
