Originally yes but not so much anymore. The SE's came out in January, February and March and the CW movie came out in August. TPM 3D was February IIRC.

I can see them expecting to capitalize off of that audience only to have it snatched away by some left field Dreamworks animated holiday feature. Hopefully Disney's smart enough to hold off Pixar releases so they're not competing with their own boxoffice.

I'm pretty sure Episode VII will wipe the floor with anything else opening during the holidays in 2015.

December is good month. LOTR and Hobbit trilogies and Avatar, Titanic proved you could make billion plus per film in winter. No competition from MOS2 or AVengers2.... I actually thought that Avatar2 might be released dec 2015
