Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

The even funnier thing, is if you watch the rest of that conversation they have, Spielberg's looking at a large model of the battle droid that Lucas wheeled out for him, & he's got one of the arms that came off - & trying to re attach it the wrong way around. :lol

Prophesy and prophecy are two different words. Not sure which is more appropriate or intended. I probably would've gone with prophecy though. :lol

I hadn't heard this yet: https://www.thewrap.com/jj-abrams-star-wars-episode-vii-screenwriter-lawrence-kasdan-time-frame

It basically sounds like Michael Arndt did what he could do, but production needed to speed things up, so JJ and Kasdan took over. Also sounds like Arndt may work with them again in the future, which would be fine with me!

Why would one say 'Prophesy' of the force? That's not using the word in it's proper context.

It's awesome though, because their bad grammar, & the 'unlearn' tag line, share a beautiful irony. :lol :lol

Prophesy is the verb form, without knowing what the guy who created it meant, you can't say hes incorrect. You see people use prophecy incorrectly, alot in our language.

Exactly - so the sentence in that poster doesn't make sense. :lol

They no doubt meant 'prophecy' though..

4 of the 6 movies titles start with a verb. Honestly, its probably supposed to be something like the jedi "prophecy of the five", but I think you're trying too hard to nitpick something a fan made. :slap

I really hope the new movies don't highlight the "STAR WARS EPISODE SO AND SO" like the prequels and instead just own their individual titles like the OT did. If it's going to be called Prophecy of the Force then dammit have the ***** to shout it from the rooftops. Don't cower behind the saga name.
