I like the sound of that! :duff

Its a really old concept dating back to 1977 when Lucas revealed SW was based on Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress. May be GL should've kept Kurosawa's films as a general inspiration when he made the prequels.

Who would play Boba? I'm sure they'll show him unmasked. Perhaps the kid who played him in AOTC? Or Teemura Morrison? For some odd reason I can see Joseph Gordon Levitt cast in the role.

If they make a film about Boba Fett it'll make his comedy 'demise' in ROTJ all the more silly. Presumably in such a movie he'll be depicted as super-cool, totally aware of everything going on around him.....and then in Jedi he is accidentally thwarted by a semi-blind man.

True, still you can't not make a movie because of that. The original sin can't be undone.

That's why the movie will take place after ROTJ and the opening scene is him escaping the Sarlacc pit.

The film will be about him questioning whether he is good enough for bounty hunting anymore. A friend of his tries to get him back in the game. He reluctantly accepts because trying to have a "normal" life is going nowhere.

Intergalactic laser blasting, spaceship exploding, action ensues!

In the end he realizes that he really is the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy.

Since when does a bounty hunter count as a villain?

When he's hired to capture the hero......?:slap

No doubt...

Thats what I was thinking, would be cool to see him team up with Dengar, but didn't he also die in ROTJ?

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

How about this.

Film opens up with Boba Fett, trapped inside the Sarlac, contemplating his 1000 year death sentence. How did he get here, why such a cruel twist of fate, being knocked into the pit by a blind man of all things, all because his best friend Dengar sabotaged his rocket pack.

One day a yakface, looking for his brother who died during the Sarlac battle happens to fall into the Sarlac. He relays the fact that Dengar bed and married Boba's favorite 2 dancers at Jabba's palace.

Infuriated, Boba with the help of his yakface friend vows to learn how to read and write and speak a 1000 languages and to act in an otherwise very fine manner and stuff that the yakface so happens to know because he was a servant to the finest of Hutts.

Finally, yakface and Boba find an escape from the dreaded Sarlac...only Yakface dies in the process...leaving a map to a buried treasure in Boba's possesion!

Boba then enlists the help of a pirate to find the treasure. They do! Now a refined and polished Boba establishes residence in Mos Eisley. His pirate friend becomes his assistant. Together they plan out the ultimate scheme to humiliate and avenge Dengar's betrayal.

He becomes the Count of Mos Eisely!!!

Boba Fett went out screaming like a ***** where he was then eaten by the Sarlacc. The end.

Any potential the character had cinematically died after Empire Strikes Back. Now, he makes for a pretty cool looking action figure to have on a shelf, nothing more.

I'd be fine if it was a Dredd-like movie with him just showing how persistent he is when trying to acquire his bounty. Would be pretty cool seeing him in fresh gear too, and see him get his dent.
