C-3P0 interjects -

''Begging your pardon Sir Fett but I think you have misunderstood. The Sarlacc was merely saying that he hates sand. He said its dry and coarse and it gets everywhere''

Boba: "......oh"

As Niltusk said earlier - already better than a Goyer script. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

Same with liking it. :huh :lol

No, there is a difference. I enjoy ( MOST of) it. I'll defend it some. but I try not to go out of my way. I enjoy a good decussion, and a good debate

What he was talking about, and WhatI was referencing, is there are some people who go out of their way to make sure that everyone knows ( that they believe) the EU is stupid, and that people should feel stupid for liking it.

Though, Lately, I'm begenning to understand more and more that the vast majority of the "haters" are people who tend to have seen the entirty of the Ot in theatres, including the original in 77. As such, i'm wondering if age is a factor.

There is a dramatic difference between providing information in a factual context, and attempting to do so unbiased, and what essentialy equates to " I Hat dis. it R Dumbs, U Stoooopd 'cause U lik it"

I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but considering how well the noves DO sell ( quite well, might i add), and, That Disney Cares enough about the EU to move the comics Back to marvel, under their wing, I think we will see it Embraced More than disregaurded with the new films.

I COULD be wrong though.

Anywho, Like what you like, , and dislike what you dislike, but if you're going to advertise that position, do come to the discussion with some better reasons than " It Be Dumb"

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

:lol Lets continue it

C-3P0 - "do you wish me to convey your feelings towards the mighty sarlacc nevertheless?"

Boba - "if you say anything I will melt you down, droid"
Sarlacc: "vvfffgghhrrrghuppf-burp!"

C-3PO: "the mighty Sarlacc hopes you will bend over.. honourably?"

Boba: "Well.. if it works.." (slightly sinister EPII Ani smirk).

:panic: :monkey4

No, there is a difference.
Yeah look.. :lol

I'm not a 'hater' really. I've got a few of the comics, I own a bunch of collectibles, & I've even read some of the novels - even the bad ones.

Let's say, the BOUNTY HUNTER trilogy.. was less than inspired. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

David GOyer's Star Wars

Luke dosnt discover Leia is his sister untill AFTER they've had 3 kids.

Luke Dosn't discover Vader is his father untill ROTJ, when he goes after the Emperor. He Slipped a little to the dark side on Bespin and Tore him apart. Literaly.

The Emperor tortures Han To death, Having killed jabba and taken him from jabbas palace before Luke and Co get there.

The Emperor reveals the secret of Luke's Father to him, at the same time as he reveals han's broken corpse. this is an attempt to push Luke to the Dark side. The Emperor Destroys the Forrest moon of endor with the Death Star to kill the rebels on the planet, and use the debris to cripple the rebel fleet.

All those acts serve to push luke EVEN farther to evil. It WORKS. he Kills the Emperor, and with teh loss of the rebel alliance, Assumes the Mantle of Emperor for himself.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

****! All i said was I thought the Boba scenario was stupid. Surviving that monster. It belongs in Pac Rim, not SW. That's IMHO...

For ****s sake, I'm listening to the 20th anniversary audio book of Heir to the Empire! I don't "hate" the EU.

Quick to defend there skippy. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

I don't see how having him destroy the monster from within wasn't "Star Wars." The Millenium Falcon flew into the mouth of a space slug and then flew right out again with no problems. The Boba Fett scenario doesn't seem that far fetched in comparison.
