Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

That's really the crux of what I find so frustrating about the PT. Not so much how crappy they were, but how much better they could have been.

Disney should just take a page out of ol' Georgie's playbook and retcon the whole of Episodes I-III. If people can't get their hands on the original cuts of the OT, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if the house of mouse pulled the story of little orphan Ani from shelves and put it in the same place they put the EU. Plus, I doubt George would mind, seeing as he's so cool with altering films from the past and trying to make them "better."

Just think about that for a second: It's 2025, we've just had a new trilogy featuring the original actors, and interest in the classic trilogy is revitalized. Star Wars: Episode I: Something other than "The Phantom Menace" as the subtitle hits theaters. Vader's restored to his former glory, Jar Jar Binks never existed, Boba's no longer a pissy little clone, and so forth. Plus, they can take the same stance they did on the EU, where they can pull from some of the good stuff, and can all the ****.

Of the PT I say this:

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

sigh

OT > anything in the PT

Its not about how fast you can spin the lightsaber or about doing back flips, its the emotion of the scene.

PT battles mean absolutely nothing to mean.

I agree completely.

That is why the duel in Empire is my favorite. Luke was sorely outmatched against Vader, but never gave up til he lost his hand (and saber). The dynamic of Vader toying with him was great, plus Luke managed to actually get a few good hits, almost more akin to a samurai vs. a street fighter.

The only PT battle I can really watch now and enjoy is Maul vs. Obi-wan when Obi wan lost his temper, and that's just a few seconds.

That picture was from a twitter chat Ford did about a month ago.

If there's one thing I can take from this photo, shopped or not, it's that I quite like Ford with a beard. He looks badass (though, he's badass without the beard, so, it really amplifies his badassery). All in all: badass.

That pic looks like the one from his AMA chat, except the card said, 'hello Reddit'.
Otherwise same pic, so I guess it gets passed around and re shopped.

When Brad Pitt was filming Se7en he had a stuntman to do the chasing on the top of cars scene, but Brad insisted to do it himself. He slipped and fell through the back window of a cab and that's why he had a cast on in the movie true story......

I heard ford gets hurt on every set for insurance money in case the movie sucks. Henceforth his broken shoulder from Indy. :monkey3

Django Fett and his clones can't pass through a doorway safely now Han, is Han Solo an unknown clone of Django Fett?
