The only thing i'm worried about is some of the locale's don't feel foreign enough.

This place for example could be my back yard.

Also, JJ has never made a great movie.

While the PT has lots of practical effects the problem is their implementation. Things that should have been practical (most of the sets in Episode 2 or 3, clonetroopers, the spaceships) weren't and things that probably could have been CGI (the backgrounds) aren't.

The movies ended up looking like some videogame cutscene most of the time with TPM being the less 'fake' looking probably due to the amount of on location shoot they did.

Usually the first and last does the best. But I do agree that SW will be tired by the time the final chapter of the ST is told.

I agree. And stated that previously. BUT... if any franchise behemoth has a chance, it's likely the new Disney Star Wars with two years of hype building and 30+ years of waiting to see the old crew back at it again.

If any Star Wars film is going to bring them out in droves, it's this one.

Yes that is true- THIS one has the best chance to be IT..we'll see but I don't think so..

This Star Wars film is like a old couple sex, sounds enjoyable but once the clothes come off and sagging shows not even Viagra can help it.

Mark Hamill was the only one that wasn't slow. He looked pretty good too, most engaged person at the panel other than Abrams.

Fisher and Ford seemed senile. I was sort of getting teary eyed seeing Ford trying to talk. That good for nothing swindler from 30 years ago is DEAAAAD.

That female stormtrooper actress is BIG. Holy ****. She's going to be a beast in that suit hunting rebels.

God I loved the SDCC BTS video so much. Seeing the way the film is being handled is really filling me with confidence. I cannot wait. This may have just gone from I'll see it on opening weekend to I think Nana is going to have to watch the kids and I'm calling in the next day to hit it at Midnight.

Conan is still going live from Comic Con tonight even though it's a Saturday and the rumor is the (guests) surprise film cast is from the new Star Wars.

Making the clone troopers CGI was a deliberate decision to prove they could do it. The price of "progress", I guess.

Reminds me how the CGI ships in the remastered Star Trek: TOS looked even less realistic than the '60s models!
