You know what could have used more CG? Die Hard. Then, it could have been more like Die Hard 5. Am I right? :hi5:

:exactly: McTiernan needs to do a special edition, honestly it's the only way I'll ever watch that film again. As it stands right now it just doesn't fit with the awesomeness that followed in Die Hard's 4 and 5.

Yeah, they need to CG out the guns and replace them with flashlights. Obviously we need a new song and dance number inserted somewhere. And when Gruber falls at the end, we need to hear this:

STAR WARS EPISODE VIII Is Shooting THIS MONTH

And in a location that will be familiar... come December.
By DEVIN FARACI Sep. 09, 2015

Earlier there were rumors that Lucasfilm was shooting at Skellig Michael - an Irish island - in the coming days, and people jumped to the conclusion that it was reshoots. After all, Star Wars: The Force Awakens had shot there (scenes with Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley) so it makes sense that a return would be connected to those sequences.

But it turns out that conclusion was jumped too early! The truth is that the production shooting at Skellig Michael is in fact Star Wars Episode VIII. That means Episode VIII is shooting way, way earlier than we expected, as we all thought it was going to start early next year. What is going on?

My guess is that this shoot is all about weather - they're trying to get specific weather conditions or trying to beat weather conditions that would exist during the normal shooting schedule. But what is happening there? The fact that Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill were the only actors to shoot there gives us some ideas about what happens in The Force Awakens - Rey gets herself some kind of training from the old Jedi.

SPOILERS

As I'm all but convinced that Rey is the daughter of Leia (and Han, I assume, but am not certain) it makes sense that she's Force sensitive and ends up with her uncle. I've also heard that questions of parentage will not be wrapped up in this movie, echoing the slow reveal of Luke's true heritage in the original trilogy.

END SPOILERS

Could Episode VIII see her returning to this location, as Luke went to Dagobah? Or does Luke have unfinished business on whatever planet this location represents? I've heard rumors that the real ruins on Skellig Michael are meant to be Sith ruins in the movie, so that could be an element that pops up again in the sequel. Who knows!
