Most of the Sith at least wore gloves, so they're could be some protection there. I got that Kylo poster at TRU during Fail Friday last week and have it on my wall at work. I love how HOT the lightsaber looks in it. The steam coming off of it just gives it a very hot feel to it. Kylo's lightsaber has quickly become my favorite saber. As a kid I always wished for a lightsaber cross guard because my brother would always go for my fingers. He reasoned that I couldn't fight back if I didn't have fingers to hold a lightsaber
So this is literally a childhood dream come true. And the roughness and just mean sound his lightsaber has too is just awesome.

Maybe the only contention I have with Ren's sword at this point is the term "lightsaber" seems incorrect. There's particles sparking and "dripping" from the blade. It behaves more like superheated plasma.
I think thats the point, Ren is a Vader groupie......
His helmut is made from Vader's own helmut , and he's chasing his original lightsaber...to replace the shabby one he made.
