I think that's what is going to happen.
I think the twist will be playing up Finn as the Jedi the whole movie only to show Luke at the end who reveals it's actually Rey.

------- I am convinced (or hoping) that Luke shows up in the third act as some sort of deus ex machina. If they actually try and make Luke the new Darth Vader and essentially blow up the central theme of the classic trilogy (the son redeems the father) for me, it would severely suck worse than a 1000 Jar Jars.
No way Disney is going to undo the entire OT by having Luke Skywalker be bad. Trouble with his offspring is far more likely. A Day he's seen coming for a long, long time.
Like in Dark Empire (which Lucas once said would've made a great sequel trilogy) Luke could give himself to the dark side to try to bring it down from within, but find himself becoming consumed by it. But that would only work if we watched it happen; he can't just suddenly turn up evil.
Well, if you look at the new poster, they have the villain and Rey next to each other and his lightsaber is running paralleled with Rey's staff, almost implying she's a Jedi. That can't be a coincidence.
You should be good since you enjoyed AoU.
That was actually funny!
Hey, remember the nasty Jewish stereotype who owned 8-year-old Anakin Skywalker and his mother in The Phantom Menace? Remember how the Trade Federation aliens came straight out of World War II anti-Japanese propaganda? Remember Jar-Jar Binks? Remember when the first Star Wars movie in 16 years climaxed with an army of Jar-Jars catapulting ******* bubbles at an army of frail-looking CGI robots on a grassy knoll, and your wallet leaped out of your pocket of its own accord and slapped you across the ****ing mouth right there in the theater?
Of those six, two (the original Star Wars, plus The Empire Strikes Back) are unqualified classics. Three others (the prequels) are among the worst films ever to receive wide theatrical release.
But I can see them doing away with the EU... oh wait...
