Trailer has me even more excited than before!

That was the best part of the film. I still think Darth Maul was cooler than Vader. Most SW fans might not agree, but I've always liked Maul's design. He's not a better character because they didn't develop him and they killed him too quick, but he looked more badass and he was a better fighter than Vader ever was in the OT. His movements were graceful like a dancer, but also believable as a fighter. Unfortunately, Maul has more in common with Boba Fett, a cool under developed character with an anti climatic death.

I was actually thinking the new Sith guy in your avatar could be the one and done, while we may see Captain Fantastic throughout the franchise. I hope so. She looks great.

I'm doubtful he will, only because I feel like JJ/Disney want to erase the bad taste of the PT completely. And like I said before, cannon fodder villains are probably what they want to avoid going forward. I think with all the hype behind Kylo Ren, he has the potential to be the new face of sequel trilogy and they won't drop the ball. But like with everything else, we'll know in 6 weeks

Well it's not just the prequels. Tarkin died in the first film, and he appeared even to be Vader's superior.

I don't see why Cyborg Maul wouldn't be canon. He was in the Clone Wars cartoon, which I'm pretty sure is canon.

I find it funny that Kara hates the coolest character in the Star Wars universe.

I like both almost equally, Maul's design is superb tbh.

Also, I believe he was a better fighter indeed, but Vader was a better force user.

If you're in the mood, I'd recommend you read/listen to the audiobooks, Maul: Lockdown and Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, they do great justice to Maul, both are missions the Emperor sends him to before TPM, he is a cold, precise, resourceful and disciplined assassin, he was indeed just as fit as Vader as the Emperor's apprentice.

I hope Disney approves the Maul game they're developing right now.

I doubt it...that's the best looking character in the new film, imo. Plus Phasma is a woman and I doubt Kathleen Kennedy on her new-found feminist crusade will allow a new female character to die so quickly.

Yup, I think he's the next victim, unless he isn't that bad by the end of the film and he becomes a good guy in the sequels. I'm not sure how I would feel about that.

I don't think I've said anything particularly negative apart from his time as a cyborg. I liked him in the movie. But admittedly, I don't think he's a top-tier Star Wars character, either. Park is great, but his character didn't do anything in the movie except look mean and fight.

Fans of his should be thankful he was killed off before Lucas et al. had a chance to ruin whatever it was people liked about him in the other prequels.

None of this Force Awakens stuff is doing anything for me. I don't get it.

The little beepy boopy rolling baby droid, foreign feeling characters and locations that looked like they were ripped from those ludicrous Star Wars fan films I'd see playing on VHS at conventions during the 90s/early 2000s, Michonne from Walkind Dead doing a voice over about . . . hope? But hey, people are eating this stuff up. Good for Disney and the box office.
