It may very well be the case, but I can't go by GI's reviews lately. They've been all over the place.

Yeah, they really are. I loved the first one, and will get the second first day....gameinfomer even gave the voice work a bit of a hard time and that's how I know they are crazy with this one.....to each their own, i guess..

Vaders a tool.
He didnt even take the keys out of his pimped T.I.E. or use The Club on his steering wheel so he's left standing in the rain looking to bum a ride on the first Imperial transport off Kamino.
Dark Lord of the Sith my aunt fanny.
I'd like to see an Imperial officer walk up to Vader and berate him.
"Yeah, so are you going to choke yourself because of your own incompetence this time Darth Douche-bag ?"

Tried the demo and i actually liked it...Seemed alot better than the first, not sure ill buy it though.

So dumb. Starkiller can bring down TIE fighters and Star Destroyers, yet Vader can't even stop one TIE fighter from escaping...

Balancing issues?

These games are just Star Wars action junk food. Try not to think about it too much.

"Action junk food" is about how I look at it. Starkiller's Force abilities are completely ridiculous. But they're sure as hell fun to use which is what will make me buy the game.

Yeah, they're crazy powerful but its the fun too like you said. I thought the graphics looked quite nice and the gameplay itself was nice and smooth.

Liked the first one, but thought the combat could have been more fluid. Glad to see that they seemed like they fixed it. I am worried about it being repetitive like the first one though. Just too many of the same enemies and the levels were pretty long, so I'm hoping they mix it up a bit better. Starkiller is a beast though. I wish they did his story in a cartoon fashion similar to the current Clone Wars cartoon or a HBO live-action (wouldn't ever happen, but still...). I can sit back and watch Starkiller obliterate and kill SW characters all day.

Gonna pick up my copy tonight at midnite! :hi5:

Wonder if I'll be able to make it to work?

:nana:

the demo was pretty good, i'll be picking a copy tomorrow too along with fable3.

Finished this

Very disappointing game. While the graphics are an improvement over the first game, that's really the only thing that's improved. Combat is the same, even though you can cut off limbs, it doesn't feel any different. And having two lightsabers means nothing. The game is also much shorter, like 5-6 hours total. And it's much easier. Health is never an issue, and the boss fights are very easy, not to mention that there's only 3 of them. The story is really very poor. The plot is that Vader says you're a clone of Starkiller, and you never actually find out if you are, and the rest of the game is just about you trying to find Juno Eclipse.

Things are a bit more streamlined, you get force points which you use to upgrade a few things, but it's just one section of stuff to upgrade, Force powers. You don't unlock new moves and you increase health and force bars by finding holocrons for that. Luckily the menus load instantly this time, like they should have in the first game. And the few new things really shouldn't exist. The new Mind Trick power makes things too easy, as if it weren't easy enough. And the Force Rage that essentially makes you invincible for a short time is not needed at all, you can easily get through the game without it.

The set pieces for the game aren't as good as the first, and the end is really bad. Dagobah is pretty much just a cutscene, there's only a small part where you walk from your ship to the cave and that's it, Yoda's part is what was shown in the cutscene posted online a while back. And you never fight Boba Fett, you see him in the cutscene shown earlier, and then a couple more and that's it.

Also, they still do the really really annoying cutscenes where enemies show up and you have to wait for the cutscene to play through as they all spread out. I hate that the most of all, there's no reason to take control of the player away like that when you could be attacking the enemies right when they show up.

I wouldn't say this is even worth renting--5/10

that sucks to hear it's so short, since I'm about 2+ hours into the game. I guess I'll finish it and sell it immediately to get the most for my money back:dunno

typical star wars game. why do you guys buy this kind of trash? you just fuel companies to make more star wars trash games.
