I had to come back. I just had to.

But since you’re here...

The real reason I came back because I kept getting all of these PMs praising and thanking me for taking down The Last Jedi like the rabid dog it is. So much praise and thanks for doing what I do. Members kept telling me how much they appreciated my criticism of TLJ and its slightly more attractive but still homely sister TFA. I had to come back. I just had to.

:lol :lol Big of you.

Yeah, I definitely don't deserve to live that down. Well played.

The longer I spend here, the more I learn. At least there's that.

Ya know... I didn't hate it.. I enjoyed the first two acts a lot and parts of the third.. I have issues with the twist and one other part.. Fix that other part and I don't even hate the twist.

But its not as good as the first two

Bummer. :(

Well I hope for whatever reason that it works for me. But when Shyamalan falters he tends to fall hard. I'll definitely be keeping my expectations in check.

Glad I popped in to read this :lecture

My opinion of Glass is tainted by an issue it shares with TLJ - it sacrifices character in service Message.

Neither JAWS nor Junkion were impressed with Glass? Aw man...

Khev I liked it overall... But it was not as good as the other two... Something happens that really ruins it for me. I would say I liked / really enjoyed 75% of the film.. But when the 25% I was not crazy about comes at the end... Ouch that hurts.

I didn't like the ultimate resolution because it largely depends on an element new to the series and less interesting than the established parts. I would say the twists were the least effective of his career- labored in their construction and flaccid in their reveals.

That said, I find almost all of his movies engrossing in the moment and worth watching once, and this is no different. In fact I know I will revisit it.

It takes a great filmmaker to create an environment that allows people to create moments like this. The greatness also manifests itself when they have the wisdom to recognize these moments and capture and preserve them. One of the all time greatest American filmmakers Robert Altman created a frame work and then let the actors create and his genius was knowing what to keep and what to cut. Makes me appreciate Rian Johnson's filmmaking even more now. Thanks for this. :)

Or he just got lucky that he had Mark on set ;)

Glad you enjoyed the read and that it allowed you to love this film even more :)
