Keep in mind that I'm coming up with these musings on the spot, I fully allow for them to be anything but airtight, lol. And since I'm looking at these scenarios from the perspective of a TLJ fan then of course I'm going to try to connect the dots that that film added to narrative in the most favorable and forgiving way possible.

But I think we all do that for whichever SW films we like best or accept as legit entries in the Saga since not even the various OT films were totally thought out in advance.

Ohhhh, gotcha, lol.

No I was just using some of Rian's breadcrumbs to come up with my own reasons that Rey had such unprecedented Mary Sue power, why such power could feasibly be negated in the next movie, and for extra ****s and giggles why the Sith might do their "only two" routine leading up to all of this.

In my personal canon the Sith don't and have never had such a dumb rule but I found it funny that Rian actually presented a valid reason why it might actually not be so dumb.

Well I’m glad the two flashbacks between Kylo’s POV and Luke’s where different. That Luke stopped himself from murdering Ben and that Ben struck first. At least Johnson got that right

Poor Rey she was almost manipulated by Kylo on that one

that’s a unique reference but I get it

But I think it was just emphasizing that Luke will always do the right thing in the end. Like he stopped himself from killing Vader and giving into the Darkside for the emperor In ROTJ.

Also like he sacrificed himself to let Leia and the resistance escape from Crait when he pretty much given up. Even when Leia gave him permission to stop her own son. He didn’t do it.

Luke will be forever known as a hero
