Two weeks to the ten year anniversary of Ledger's death.
He'd be 38 years old.
I imagine he'd have a shaved head now if he were still alive. Looked like that hairline was receding bigtime.

Ugh, that Ghostbusters flick. That abortion was almost as bad as the Fantastic Four reboot. Good lord. I have only ever not watched, in completion, one Marvel film in my life and “that be the one son.”
Those films are so bad that my brain has shoved the memory of them down a garbage chute of repressed memories. I know I rag the film a lot, but they both make Attack of the Clones look like a masterpiece, by comparison.
Not ashamed to admit, I was not a fan of how they handled the return of the Ghostbusters franchise. Flip flopping the roles did not work to their advantage at all, for starters. It’s not quite as glaring of an issue with these Sequel Trilogy films though, to me anyway.
Upon my second viewing I've decided it's a worthy entry to the SW saga (but still not as good as ROTS!)
The opening gag with Hux was cringeworthy though, as were most of the Porg scenes.
And I guess this scene either never happened or wasn't at Luke's Jedi academy...
You came here with that post, you’re braver than I thought.
Honestly, when he wrote that whole segment of the film, he must’ve been under the influence.I agree. The casting of The Force Awakens was fine. I was glad that they cast John Boyega as Finn, because I really liked him in Attack the Block. I also think that Daisy Ridley's approach to Rey is appropriate. Her tone in delivering the lines she's been given is perfect for the Star Wars franchise. She's appropriately formal.
The problem is that the way in which these actors have been used, is exploitative. The worst example is what almost seemed like tokenism with Finn and Rose traveling to Space Vegas. They were shoe-horned into the movie, and pairing the two together while the other characters were predominantly white made it seem as if they were The Diversity Duo.
Is this a shot from the Netflix dark crystal sequel? They look more terrifying than they did in the 80s.

Where are we to draw the line? Just a movie? Yes....but can or does it have impact on our being whatever? Yes,yes it does,can,might..just like music, the press, school, work, who we grew up with,etc...its still part of our social environment...and for "its just a film"...hey if this was Valerian and city of a thousand planets, hey who would give a crap..oh but this was star wars buddy...this was an American institution, family,love,etc,etc....to be continued...

You can be a slave to it all, or you can take what you want from it.
Does it get tiresome being a broken record?
Perusing the TLJ Visual Dictionary there's scant background on Snoke. JJ said he'd come back from the dead before, so maybe he will again?
It DOES mention that because he's not a Sith, the Chosen One prophecy remains intact.
Snoke will be back...and in greater numbers.
Seriously though, he'll return in some form and say something beginning with the words ''Did you really think....''
