Anyone who thought the third SW film in 3 years was going to make 1.7 to 1.8 billion was nuts. Dropoffs on random weekends ultimately don't matter, only the final tally and at an assumed 1.2 to 1.4 billion that's more than worthy enough to be recognized in the archives of the Jedi Order.
Before TLJ was released I predicted that it'd be the first Disney SW to earn less than a billion. I figured that with them pumping them out once a year that they'd settle for an annual take of 700-800 million. I guess Solo will be the first to have that "honor."
Disney was the first to know that a 800 to 1.1b would be the norm with the increased output.
But that’s ok let Wor-Gar, crows, aa and underworld think they discovered something special with the TLJ drop off something that an entire department of dedicated financial investment, accounting and legal staff over at Disney who specifically deal with this kind of stuff 24/7/365 would’ve never thought about it on their own lol.
