Chirrut might tap into the force to see certain things, but he’s no force user. He’s very dedicated to the Force. I’d say overly so. His fighting skills are reflected by that, but not because of it. At least, that’s how I interpret his character anyway. He’s not channeling Neo, that’s for sure.

I will say, the loss of sight might have somehow opened a deeper connection for him than he might not otherwise have had? Also, his senses are already heightened naturally.

You must see this. The roles are reversed. Luke as a Gary Stue. Rey's jobber aura and her status as a jack of all trades in tact.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of SNIKT "the wise"? I thought not. It's not a story Khev would tell you. It's a SSF legend. SNIKT was so powerful and so wise he could use the threads to create fan fiction. He had such a knowledge of the SW canon, he could even keep the ones he cared about from liking the sequel trilogy. The dark side of the forum is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his fan fiction, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, Rian Johnson killed him in his sleep. It's ironic, he could save others from the ST, but not himself.

So I guess we are gonna see a huge drop on the third movie. Those numbers are gonna be underwhelming. Honestly I think the way to save Star Wars is to definitely drop the whole rebel vs empire and lone Jedi **** and focus of the rebirth of the Jedi and sith and force weilders. Dig into the lore.

Other wise you get **** like this. The next movie is gonna get boycotted to hell. No old characters. Everyone hates rey and Finn. I don’t see this coming back. Unless they pull a revenge of the sith and go dark and good at the last movie. Worked for the prequels and now the fan base is split on them.

They really just need to look into an Old Republic trilogy. It would liven up the franchise in ways that a direct prequel and sequel can’t do. There is so much more to Star Wars than the singular events that transpired because of Anakin Skywalker and his offspring.

As much as I enjoy some of the content from the Prequels and these newer films... for the love of god, I am so ready for my very being to enter an era that doesn’t orbit around Anakin’s ********.

Although, I would seriously miss some of the imagery. The millenium falcon comes to mind. I won’t miss the Death Stars and the Starkillers and the Snokes of the world though. Give me a grand tale of the Old Republic and the encroaching Sith they so feared. And a lightsaber battle between more than a few people would be nice.

It’s tough for foreign films at the Chinese box office. I think they struck gold with The Force Awakens. Rogue One didn’t do spectacular, by comparison. Granted, the Last Jedi is barely even pulling half of those numbers.

Didn’t think anything could be worse than Dark of the Moon though. I was wrong. What’s worse is not even Leonard Nimoy and Anthony Hopkins can save those films from the trash heap.

I don't remember how many minutes into the movie you start seeing the group of kids, but that's when I stopped watching.
Never opened the video file again (well, it's been deleted for a while now).

When a movie is able to show you how bad it is after just a few minutes, it's really ****ing bad

After everyone here who hates Disney/Kennedy/TLJ gives Disney their money AGAIN for IX opening weekend making it the # 1 movie that year just like TLJ/TFA please come back to the forum and tell everyone again how much SW is dead and how much you hated IX it is always very entertaining.

I get the notion behind it. Don’t get me wrong. He wanted a scientific explanation. I guess I’ve always been of the crowd that prefered the lack of requiring it.

Midichlorians actually provide a convenient explanation for the folly of the Jedi Order. They were blinded by science, overanalysing The Force at the expense of the big picture.

The scientific explanation is very Trek. Then again, so is hyperspace tracking!
