Lol, I just hope Star Wars is still relevant for years to come and doesn’t die out. The fans from the OT era carried the franchise for decades after the episode 6 and Disney has to see that. TLJ is just one film and I hope JJ can appeal to both parties on TLJ for better story/more receptive movie in Episode 9.

I agree. While I don't have much hope for Episode 9 or Johnson's trilogy, I'm excited about what will happen with Star Wars as Augmented Reality develops. That's one reboot I'm actually looking forward to.

Again I agree. I most likely won't be here in the next 40 years (I'm in my 40's) to see if SW can last. I highly doubt it. I feel bad for my son and his friends who like it. His kids might not even find SW relevant or enjoyable... I do feel some animosity towards Disney and Kennedy. I've spent likely more than double most peoples yearly salary on SW merchandise and collectibles in the past 40 years. And yet, I feel like I'm being told that I should just walk away and move on and accept that SW isn't for me anymore. If it Wasn't for me and others here like me, SW would've slowly faded out in the 80's.....

I only collect 1:6 scale

Johnson hasn't needed to explain anything. My elementary school aged children easily followed and understood what happened on screen. Johnson has merely been catering to those adult members of the audience with special needs which shows an admirable level of kindness on his part.

Lol, I commend Rian for taking to social media and engaging with the fans who had positive/negative redactions. I liked how he posted the thread about the force projection and it showed he is a Star Wars fan. I never questioned the force action of it. But There are people that don’t understand certain things from this film, placing more of an emphasis on the continuity of the franchise From books, video games, past episodes. For example like anakins light saber in TFA, After Kylo defeats Finn he force reaches for the light saber, but it flys past him to rey. In TLJ Kylo confronts rey to join him, then they are force tug of warring the same lightsaber. Maybe I’m looking into too much and so are other fans. Not saying the movie was incredibly bad, just disappointing after two years of build up.

I spend too much on collectibles as it is! :lol I agree that the 1:12 Mezco is the best Alex sculpt I've seen so far. However, my ultimate dream for Clockwork Orange collectibles is for all 4 Droogs and a Korova Milk Bar diorama in 1:6 scale. It'll never happen... but I can dream.

There's no contradiction in what I've said. Hypocrisy is a moralist concept. Morality doesn't exist. :lol There's nothing "wrong" with being a servant, because there is no "wrong". You, on the other hand, think that you can drift through life without using your brain, cause all kinds of problems because there are so many subservient people like you, and yet you somehow think I have an obligation to refrain from defending myself from the fallout of your subservience? Keep dreaming.

Obligation doesn't exist. In a world where dumb people obey authority and refuse to think, even when faced with idiotic-yet-blatant propaganda, anyone with a brain in their head will defend themselves by making money off of others. That's how the competitive market works. If you don't like the system you're living in, why do you keep questioning my motives, in talking about politics?

See where I'm going with this? You can't bury your head in the sand, accuse anyone critical of authority as being paranoid or fearful (like most people do), than be righteously indignant when people take advantage of your subservience.

If you have a problem with the way I use power, does that make you paranoid? Are you afraid of me? Is the end nigh? Go back to burying your head in the sand, and enjoy your servitude while it lasts. Also, I'm glad you liked The Last Jedi. Servants need a break, once in a while. :lol

If any of this bothers you... welcome to the club. I wish we lived in an economy that treated people as being more than servants. We don't. The problem is, try telling the servants that! They'll call you paranoid, so you may as well just exploit them.

Are u unemployed or something? Your anti establishment ramblings sound alot like the unibomber. Do you live in a cabin in the woods, far removed from society, and just think about this **** all day??? Scary brother...You call people dumb because they function within society. People that choose to go to work and that are compensated for doing so are not servants. I get paid very well to show up and do my job, you think id be working if i wasnt being generously compensated for it. If an employer was wasnt willing to pay the wage i wanted for my services, i would just start my own business. I have the freedom to do whatever the hell i want to do. I dont get how u equate this to servitude. Also its one thing to question authority but you are implying that law abiding citizens are mindless sheep because they are too dumb to realize they are being controlled and subjegated by the elite. What do you suggest people do, rebel,...anarchy and chaos. Well i got news for you, the people that reject authority usually end up locked in cells, homeless, jobless- And For what??? Because they want to be able to sit on their *** all day and ponder the meaning of life. Much better to contribute to society then fight against it. You will change nothing ranting on a forum about anarchy...get out of your cabin and do something constructive lol

WOW, just took me quite a long time to get through all the posts since last night... :lol This thread is still going strong.. Spazz has made a lot of good and valid points. Too many to quote or say whether I agree or disagree. Agreeing with some, or many, of his insightful wisdom shouldn't necessarily mean you are on his side.

I still don't understand why Jye has to be offended by people who oppose his views. You and Khev are a unique team of 2... Always coming to each others aide. Like I said before, sometimes it feels like you two are having your own conversation in here, patting each other on the back while ignoring others valid arguments. :lol

I enjoy both your guys (Jye & Khev) insight most of the times. I like reading and enjoying the arguments on both sides, the haters & the defenders. I just don't like when the insults come out. It's not necessary. If you don't agree and can't reply with a good argument, better to just say "I don't agree" than to use insults like some people being dumb or whatever.... Can't we all be internet friends???

The world is an unforgiving place. In here we should just have fun. Imagine paying money to go to conventions just to argue with other fans that don't share your same likes and interests. What would be the point?? Life is short, have fun when you can.... :)

"Jye and Khev, jye and Khev, jye and Khev." It sounds like you're trying to to convince yourself that there are only two who see the truth about this film when Junkion, Darth Madden, Kuat, and others put you guys in your place just as often or more than we do, lol.. :gun

Is your feeling that Kylo and Rey reaching for Luke's saber in TLJ doesn't mean up with the end of TFA? My take on that is that in TFA Kylo had no clue that someone was using the Force to counter him and that he was putting minimal effort into pulling the saber out of the snow until Rey surprised him. Whereas in TLJ he was fully braced for her resistance and put his full might into keeping the saber fron her. Since she is not more powerful than him (despite what some people claim) it was a stalemate and the saber exploded.

I cant wait for a Star Wars celebration with Rian's attendance. I think it would be comical to see the response he gets, if he even shows.

Yes, of course there are others who share your enjoyment of TLJ here in this thread... But to me you too are the loudest voices who like to respond to all the "haters" posts, and constantly agree with each other... Whenever I fall behind and need to catch up, i seems like it's mostly you 2 continuing the good fight of defending TLJ of being a good movie. It's all good... It would be boring if everyone here was either a "hater" or a "lover" :duff

And I don't counter every post that's against TLJ, not by a long shot, but since my points are so definitive and all-encompassing I'm not surprised that many of you get the impression that I do. ;)
