Do you just really like crows, or did you name yourself after The Crow 2? Or something else?

the name is because i've always loved crows in games like in Resident evil or horror movies, crows are usually the go to bird for dark stuff (even like game of thrones or the opening of Walking dead episodes and Supernatural show Intros) I love the Crow movies but I've always loved the birds and the depiction in movies. The matrix reloaded and Snow White have some really cool crow scenes
They have become a really iconic movie bird. Most dark movies or tv shows have crows around, they look awesome
Plus i love the sound they make.

Jeepers Creepeers might win in the best use of crows. they definitely added to the creepiness of the sets. the crows add so much to that movies atmosphere

Like I said, I agree with you. The "subtle" meaning to these movies are as plain as the nose on that ugly Resistance Commander's face.

But nobody else in this thread wants to hear it or see it. They just wanna see "pew pew" and the Falcon fly out of a tight space and blue lightsabers cracking up against red ones while John Williams music plays.

Late to the "party" but finally watched this product. It truly is the sum of all its parts. So bad it was that it managed to make The Force Awakens (a good movie) worse by association.

I knew that some indie director was at the helm of this product (I refuse to call it a film) but I didn't know he was the director of "Looper" of all people, his opera prima being one of my most hated popular movies of all times.

Among all the disappointments the character of Rey has to be the biggest one for me. I liked her in TFA even with all the hate she got from lots of fans. Despite her instant mastery in combat and the force her past was still shrouded in mistery and I felt it could eventually become a huge reveal down the road.

She could have been Luke's secret apprentice who was sent to the boonies and got the memories of her Jedi master erased for her own protection but no, her big "revelation" was the lack of any revelation, she is just special because she is special: she was the Mary Sue everyone accused her of being all along.

A horrendous product by all means, its "good" parts (if any) are scarse and are promtply shat upon. What they did to Poe Dameron was atrocious, they completly wasted the talent of Oscar Isaac (one of the best performers of his generation) it was akin having the likes of Freeman or Hopkins take the role of a red shirt.

This product was a crime against art and huge **** you to our collective intelligence as species.

Yes.

Yes it was.

Rescue from a first year philosophy major? That'll be the day, lol.

Khev you’re my type of conservative and it’s a real shame there are knuckleheads out there who give a bad name to your sane beliefs.

Jye reading Spazz's reply:

Rest in Peace, Jye.

Nah i’m very comfortable in my non paranoid shoes because i’m actually able to be around people from all walks of life without having a paranoid meltdown.

Spazz can continue to think i’m a slave to whatever imaginary villains he’s conjured up in his head while I continue living my life not afraid of my own shadow.

I'm actually with you Spazz, but I just don't think this thread about this truly repugnant movie is the place to get in to it.

You’re right but it’s a great place to call out repugnant people like you and anyone else who are on team Spazz.

The only people who hated Last Jedi are rural and suburban mental deficiants.

City people all loved Last Jedi.

Please don’t tell me you’re a Spazz follower dear god no please I will be truly crushed.

I just hope you hate TLJ for all the great reasons you came up with and not for being made of jelly.

You can hate TLJ and NOT BE repugnant.

Still no word from Kathleen Kennedy nor a Solo trailer. I really hope Disney is truly hearing the fans of this franchise. I heard the trailer would drop during the super bowl, but the issues with TLJ, I hope it is not being ignored. Im annoyed that fans that like the movie are trying to dissolve the valid arguments of fans who didn’t like the movie by basically saying things such as anti-feminists, “something different”, “expectations,” and in my opinion it was basically more on the side of making a good movie. I’ve never seen any movie where a director has to tell why he did or describe what happened. Isn’t that proof of bad story telling? I think they’re fundament issues with the actors as well. Watching trailers and interviews leading to the release of TLJ; Daisey Ridley doesn’t know what a Mary Sue is, she says that it’s sexist ploy due to the name, she doesn’t know the actual portrayal of that term. The actor who plays Hux, doesn’t know his first name, really??? Daisey Ridley believes that “everyone” has the force, that it’s nothing special, and that Rian Johnson began writing the script based off the TFA script during production of TFA, they are many other issues that I’ve found and I encourage those who like or hated TLJ to watch Dishonored Wolf and Mauler YouTube channels, just awesome detailed critiques of the film. I like I said before, felt that TLJ was a missed opportunity to say the least, there is no new “path”. This episode was a filler episode, literally went around in circles and added unnecessary things to the franchise. I have yet to see anyone provide a detailed explanation on why TLJ is a good movie, besides stating “don’t have high expectations” or “don’t take Star Wars isn’t serious”, like wtf this franchise survived for decades and has one the strongest fans but don’t take it seriously is an excuse.

:clap Great post and welcome... The TLJ lovers are an odd bunch of SW fans to me too... But then again, I'm part of the old fan base that Kennedy wants to go away and die....:( But I do have my 12 year old son on my side. He didn't like TLJ either. His words from his mouth before I said how I felt... I raised him right... :)

Yech.

As you were.

Can’t wait for Kennedy to increase her feminism agenda 100 fold just to watch the paranoid men made of jelly have complete meltdowns.

Now that’s entertainment!

You think that I'm repugnant for exploiting you, but complaining about a system that exploits you is "paranoid"? You're not seeing the irony, here. I tricked you. You took the bait. Now learn from your mistakes by using your brain. If you think exploitation is repugnant, then it makes sense to be critical of a movie that legitimizes exploitation. The Last Jedi legitimizes exploitation, so by your own standards, it's a repugnant film. It legitimizes authority in the name of equality.

You're welcome.

You are just too smart for me how will I ever continue existing without your great knowledge Spazz, how, HOW!

:clap Another good post from a "hater"... It's nice to see that many of the people who were let down by this (like myself) do have valid & logical reasons. The supporters just want to hang on to the ridiculous media spread reasons, not that it was just an overall badly written and directed movie...

The fact simply that this type of heated/becoming heated is more valid proof That TLJ sucks and or certain triggering factors with this films creation were in play.....In Hollywood no one can hear you scream....Kennedy This Time it's War LOL

Please do not get embroiled in political talk on the forum its not allowed and has proven to derail threads. Couple of posts deleted. Lets get back on topic please.
Thanks.

I hope so Jye....would be interesting....maybe the Chinese would ban Star Wars or even Disney itself...

WOW, just took me quite a long time to get through all the posts since last night... :lol This thread is still going strong.. Spazz has made a lot of good and valid points. Too many to quote or say whether I agree or disagree. Agreeing with some, or many, of his insightful wisdom shouldn't necessarily mean you are on his side.

I still don't understand why Jye has to be offended by people who oppose his views. You and Khev are a unique team of 2... Always coming to each others aide. Like I said before, sometimes it feels like you two are having your own conversation in here, patting each other on the back while ignoring others valid arguments. :lol

I enjoy both your guys (Jye & Khev) insight most of the times. I like reading and enjoying the arguments on both sides, the haters & the defenders. I just don't like when the insults come out. It's not necessary. If you don't agree and can't reply with a good argument, better to just say "I don't agree" than to use insults like some people being dumb or whatever.... Can't we all be internet friends???

The world is an unforgiving place. In here we should just have fun. Imagine paying money to go to conventions just to argue with other fans that don't share your same likes and interests. What would be the point?? Life is short, have fun when you can.... :)

She can do whatever she wants. I, and a hell of a lot of other people, won't be bothering to see it.

Star Wars is dead to me, boy. Star Wars is more dead to me than your dead mother.

Lol, I just hope Star Wars is still relevant for years to come and doesn’t die out. The fans from the OT era carried the franchise for decades after the episode 6 and Disney has to see that. TLJ is just one film and I hope JJ can appeal to both parties on TLJ for better story/more receptive movie in Episode 9.

This site was originally created to talk about dollies, statues and props.... But I enjoy the movie/tv threads the most... The other threads for me are to just oooooh, and awwww over pictures of cool collectibles.. :clap

Yeah, I agree. This thread is more about the reason why I like collectibles, in the first place. I admit, I get carried away sometimes...
