Anyway.... :lol

We never heard what a Force Ghost Anakin sounds like, so a deeper voice isn't a problem. Unless people think he should sound like a baby voiced Jake Lloyd or a whiny teenage Episode II Christensen or a dying, gasping for air Sebastian Shaw. How he sounds now is fine. In fact, evoking a sense of maturity and tiredness would be fitting if the goal is to get the character to impart wisdom to Ren, Luke, or Rey.

If they do go forward with it, throw a hood on him or give him a wig and it'll be fine. Look at Carrie Fisher, I thought it would take nothing short of a miracle to get her looking decent for TFA, and they did a pretty good job for the most part when she's just standing there. For Christensen, it would be no problem. Especially when any character that's a Force ghost would just be cast in blue CGI anyway. I don't think the guy has aged so much that audiences would be like "who the hell is that". :lol

As for Anakin appearing, I don't see why Vader/Anakin should get that luxury. His story ended. Don't do that Force ghost **** anymore. Sure Kylo Ren is a wannabe fan boy, but does that mean Anakin should just show up or whatever? Why does he warrant an appearance. That era is over. I've always hated Force ghosts, even as a kid. I dig Obi-Wan's voice of reasoning in Luke's head in the first one when he's on the Death Star and flying the X-Wing, but when you get to a point where he's sitting on a log, fully formed, talking to Luke and telling him about points of viee, it's just so silly and cheesy. I don't like how it works. It's a cool magic thing in Star Wars when Obi-Wan is struck down and his body disappears, but when you get to actual Force ghosts, I just don't like it. I mean why did Yoda get to disappear? How come Obi-Wan couldn't appear ot help Luke on Bespin? Is it something all Jedi get to do? If that's the case, why didn't Anakin fade away in the Vader suit after he croaks? I mean he got a Force ghost in the end right?

Yeah yeah, Qui-Gon somehow showed them the way by becoming one with the living force, but then how come there's no Force ghost Qui-Gon? That's one of AOTC and ROTS biggest flaw, not having Liam Neeson return in some capacity.

Just don't do it. It's bad enough they somehow dug up Vader's burnt, endor cindered mask and has **** boy talking to it, don't bring the character back for more discussions. I mean atleast Luke met Obi-Wan and Yoda, but Kylo Ren? C'mon. Just hold your horses. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see a Force ghost Luke.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they jump the shark and have Han somehow reappear.

Force ghosts were cool in the OT. They weren't overdone, didn't really raise questions other than they were somewhat limited in where and when they can appear as evidenced by Ben's line "If you face Vader you must do it alone, I cannot interfere." That's because during the story meetings Lucas could never figure out much of a role he wanted the deceased Jedi to play. So it was ambiguous in SW/ESB. In ROTJ he and Kasdan contemplated having Ben, Yoda, or both of the them appear to help Luke take on Vader and the Emperor but they decided against it so that Luke's victory wouldn't be tainted by all the extra help. Then at one point he had Ben appearing *in the flesh* at the ewok celebration. He really was making up the ghost "rules" as he went along.

At one point he had this whole thing where all Jedi become "one with the Force" and that Jedi with certain skills could keep their identities temporarily after death. But it took a certain amount of concentration/power/whatever that got drained quickly if they appeared too much. After that they become one with the Force and lose their identities again. He even had it spelled out that together Yoda and Ben would basically grab Anakin's spirit when he died and help him maintain his identity together which is why he got to show up at the party.

I think it's fine as a temporal plot device that had a fixed amount of occurrences for very specific situations, ie a couple words of wisdom before a final farewell. And even though Lucas was fine-tuning that aspect of the story over three movies it worked well enough. Ben died, had enough power to hang on long enough to see the Emperor defeated and Anakin redeemed before all three of them became "One with the Force" or went to good guy heaven or whatever. Point is after the ewok celebration they went away for good.

But if Anakin comes back in Episode 8 or 9 then it becomes this weird thing where they apparently get to show up as often as they want for as long as they want, even decades after their death. It's weird because then it really would beg the question as to why the hell the ghosts aren't constantly active, showing up, warning people, saying "Snoke is on the rise, look out Use your powahs Rey!" Or maybe just haunting Starkiller Base, constantly harrassing the First Order to try and make them all go insane.

And yeah, the tacked on way that it was mentioned by Yoda at the very end of ROTS when they could have had Liam Neeson himself strategically appearing throughout the PT was just bizarre and pointless.

But with Rey hearing Ben and Yoda in TFA they're back already.

Hell we even heard Leia say her OT line in TLJ trailer already! :lol
