I'm surprised he didn't go on some kind of rant, verbally decimating all those OT SW fans.
I watched the 40th anniversary panel on YouTube that Hayden attended along with the other actors. He looked and sounded the way I remembered him. Maybe a little thinner as a-dev said but that's it.
Irony: Hayden will grow old and end up looking like Sebastian Shaw anyway.

You know if Anakin's ghost is ever "killed" by Snoke or somebody then right before he dies he should be writhing in agony like when the T-1000 was melting and morphing through all the actors that played him. Have him screaming as his face goes from young to old to masked and then even weirder combinations like Jake Lloyd with his hair burned off, Hayden Christensen in a pod-racer helmet, real nightmare inducing stuff.
I see that horrific morphing happening with little Ani's voice saying: Whoaaaaaaaaa!!!!
I see that happening while a pair of mysterious Jedi, revealed to be WWF tag team the Bushwackers look on. And they say, "Whoooooooooooaa!"

I actually can see them making Rey being able to master both sides of the Force, becoming a "true grey" and master of aaaaallllll the Force... Ugh...
So new interview says Lucas wants to expand ANH into a trilogy.
So 3 films that occur during ANH?

Who cares what Lucas wants to do? He's just another fan like the rest of us now.
What about a flick about Obi-Wan, Luke, Leia, Chewie, Han and the Droids chillin' in the Falcon? Make it in Real-Time as well...

I want to see the untold story of the brave heroes who smuggled Galen's message out of Eadu and gave it to Bodhi. The last scene of the film can be a crew member handing the hologram disc to a CG Riz Ahmed.

So a new trilogy? Does he mean RO was a part of that new trilogy? Or just a new trilogy within ANH.
Knowing Lucas it will be:
Episode 1.1: The untold tale of what really happened to Luke after the Tusken Raider knocked him out and before they dropped him in the dirt.
Episode 1.2: The adventure that happened to sell Luke's Speeder for the 2k. Includes huge racing sequence.
Episode 1.3: After the Death Star Escape, and before returning to Yavin 4, the crew of the Millennium Falcon has a fantastic adventure in space when bounty hunters catch up with them.
