A young Yoda movie would be cool.
I mean, how does a small frogman end up being the leader of all the Jedi?

And where is this "new interview" with Lucas located?
You made Wor-Gar type all that, fo shame.

If I knew who or what Galen, Eadu, Bodhi, or Riz Ahmed were, I would agree with you 100%. Closest I can come up with is this:I want to see the untold story of the brave heroes who smuggled Galen's message out of Eadu and gave it to Bodhi. The last scene of the film can be a crew member handing the hologram disc to a CG Riz Ahmed.

Every time I see those random names I picture them being these guys.

Makes sense they view themselves as hardcore resistance fighters against the Empire.
And it's a little known Expanded Universe fact that most rebel pilots are never taught how to land. Think about it, did we ever actually see Luke Skywalker land properly? No! He crashed into a swamp.
“The big [favor] was, I asked if R2 could come with Rey, and if BB-8 could stay behind with the Resistance,” Johnson says. “Originally it was BB-8 who went with Rey, which makes sense for the story in a way. But I asked, ‘Can you do me this solid and switch the droids?’”
“Figuring out where his head was at was the very first thing I had to do when writing the movie. I had to crack this. And it had to be something for me that first and foremost made sense. Why did Luke Skywalker go off to this island?” Johnson says. “That was the starting point, and that’s what the entire movie explores.”
Does fleeing make him a coward? “I didn’t want it to,” Johnson says. “There has to be a good reason that makes sense to him — and to some degree makes sense to us.”
What else was he supposed to do? His scopes were dead, he had zero cockpit visibility, I'm pretty sure that any professional pilot will tell you that you're always supposed to continue flying directly toward the ground at top speed under such circumstances.
Slowing down or stopping and carefully lowering your VTOL craft is a common rookie mistake I hear.
