Looks like Finn is doing some riding of his own!

Now that you mention it, it doesn't look like he's wearing pants. :lol

Do you think there will be flashbacks to the Old Republic or will it just be referenced.

I think Snoke will help Rey remember their life together many millenia ago and we'll get to see this era as we did different times via Rey's Force visions in TFA.

When Rey remembers, her allegiance to the Resistance will shatter and her respect for the term "Jedi" will disappear. She'll wanna be with Snoke and will see Luke as an enemy.

There it is again, the belief that Anakin should have been more Vader-like. If that were the case his downfall wouldn't have been so shocking.

Like Por-Gar, I too put ROTS above TFA.

Of course it isn't going to be shocking. We know going in that he will become Vader. The point is not to make the transition "shocking". It is to tell a satisfying origin for one of cinema's greatest villains.

Not headcannon look it up it’s actually in the story. Shaw was not Vader. He looked old and worn out. It makes sense for anakin to be younger.
No, he was Vader. ROTJ happened. Shaw is what Vader looked like.

And regardless, it makes no sense for Vader to have been THAT young, effeminate, or innocent looking. Nor be played by a very boyish looking actor that even today still could pass for a teenager.

The delivery was bad but the build up always made sense. He was treated like crap by the council and fed dreams of his dying wife and who he wanted to save .
But that's the thing. The delivery was bad. Really, really bad. And that's the problem with the prequels. Decent framework for a story, but execution went wrong in every single way. Mostly with Anakin. No matter how much I know its the same guy, I cannot connect that effeminate kid with the character we knew from the OT.

Those who saw the OT first might have known, but future audiences will watch the episodes in order.

Sorry I don’t see Darth Vader as an out of shape old man. I don’t know why your saying anakin looked effeminate and boyish. Luke looked like a child and blew up the Death Star and took down the empire . So yea.

Luke was never a dark and troubled badass. Unlike Vader.

And Luke was not nearly as awkward, stiff, or whiney.

Still a kid like his dad tho. They parallel just fine. Your just upset about the acting

You've never seen ROTJ?

Just think hayden Vader fits better..... again I’m a weird star wars fan . The OT is fine to me but it’s not the end all be all of Star Wars like most fans want it to be. I like the extended universe stuff and the old republic Jedi order

Riiiiiiiight.

I don't think you're going to like the actual movie very much.

Because he wasn't raised by slightly rebelious Obi Van as an apprentice (and potential messiah) of the Order of awkward-n-stiff warrior monks? Because his mother didn't die on his hands? Because he didn't have a love interest since childhood? That's the whole ****ing point.

I’m torn between wanting to learn more about the hidden widely overlooked intelligence buried within the PT or just watching this video hilariously explain away just how truly awful and unreedemable they really are.

Shaw was miscast. He was too old. He was nearly 80 in ROTJ.

Hayden played a great conflicted prodigy. Again, a 23-year-old Chosen One allows a Sith Lord to turn him. Had he been a 43-year-old Jedi Master, then Palps would have failed.

People who say they can't connect OT Vader with Prequel Vader need to come to terms with the fact that OT Obi-Wan explicitly states "Vader was seduced by the Dark Side of The Force.". A fully realized Jedi warrior decades into his commitment to the Order would have a harder time betraying said Order. ROTS Anakin pretty much spent as much time with the Order as he did without them.

I think the problem a lot of fans have with Anakin’s turn is the pacing. Instead of having Anakin solely frustrated with the Jedi in AOTC, they should have started his distrust in that film, that way by the time you get to ROTS, he’s spent years feeling mistrust and bitterness, then his posting on the council without promotion would be like the last straw and it’d be more believable for him to fairly quickly turn his back in favor of following Palpatine. The way the movies are, Anakin goes from pals and joking with Obi-Wan to ready to kill him in a matter of days and it feels rushed.
