Beat up Luke? What do you mean? In this movie or in general? I like beat-up Luke like from ESB if that's what you mean. I like him better when he isn't all-powerful Jedi that's true. I don't like him when he's splashing blue milk in his face and growling like Gollum.

We didn’t get one light saber battle either, not one bit.

How was the crowd reacting to this on the World premiere though? All this movie needs is a laugh track to complete it.

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD

Saw it last night. It was OK. Hate the way they handled Luke's character. Seemed like the humor was forced and lacked the mysticism of star wars for me. The whole Snoke stuff was weak too. I liked TFA so much more. Glad JJ is coming back for the last one.

I meant isolated Jedi Order hating Luke instead of gold metal recipient Luke leading the Republic next to his sister.

Oh, yeah I didn't mind that idea. Still don't. Never minded Luke's wanting to end the Jedi to end the Sith argument. In fact, it made sense.

But I think Disney went nuts with the "burn it all down" message -- destroy the past -- yet paying homage to that very past to sell tickets.

Luke tossing the saber over his shoulder and nostalgic bad-puppet Yoda literally burning it all down was really blatant messaging to me.

Punch drunk Yoda is really a female in love with Luke lol

But obi wan could not help fight luke with vader yet all of the sudden yoda can burn down the tree? I mean WTFFFFFF is ben a liar now? People who control this films are just inane to even make sense of the past films. Once cinema sins reviews this, it will have more sins than The Room, and thats saying a lot

Are you really comparing ROTJ to this eye-rolling garbage???

You keep saying it's garbage, but from my understanding it's because of "muh luke" "muh twilight snoke". Not the actual quality of the film.

Great acting
Great action
Fantastic Music
Superb Editing
Awesome Cinematography
and MUCH better writing than TFA.

I guess I'm the only one who enjoyed this movie last night. Didn't like the force awakens but thought this one was great.

No, I really enjoyed this. It blew my expectations out of the water.

This was probably better in 3D.

Nothing is better in 3D.
