Luke could not even lift the X wing..

He could, but then he would...

Rian's own words on the situation:

According to Rian it's the truth for now, but JJ can do anything he wants with it. There's no point speculating with these movies because they're being made up as they go along, there's no plan. JJ can reverse everything again if he wants to.

Yeah " Let me DESTROY the continuation from the force awakens and let me make up whatever crap i want and ruin the questions force awakens asked because who gives a crap about the next movie since i have nothing to do with that one

Let me ruin this franchise by adding idiotic things that the next people will have to deal with, next movie not my problem :dunno"

Thank you Rian

Snoke should have been that clone. AOTC already shows the technology to clone people.
What's funny is that Dark Empire comic book series had Palpatine being cloned.
Ten years before the release of "Attack of the Clones".

latest

So... they COULD use this to bring Snoke back for EpIX.

Rey is Palpatine's clone. She's the Heir to the Empire. She will make Kylo her lapbitch.

I'm not sure how someone can ruin questions that didn't even have answers. Abrams was the one who basically said "Yeah, I really have no idea who Rey's parents are, why Kylo turned, or why Luke is on the island, have fun with that" to Johnson.

Nothing in TLJ contradicts TFA. It simply fills in the gaps. It's not like TFA had a bunch of "Knights of Ren" running around that suddenly disappeared in TLJ (which takes place within a few days of TFA.)

TLJ was daring and bold and clever. Has any other movie with a big call to arms/lighting of the beacons moment had no one respond? That was yet one more moment in the film that was unexpected and cool.

LOL!! that's hilarious

all the defenders immediately start making sexist assumptions about folks who didn't like the movie and characters. that's such a weak argument.

I personally liked wonder women and atomic blonde, both had strong interesting female leads and a good entertaining script. TLJ was a hot freaking mess.

...And this is how a major studio writes a cohesive movie trilogy?! This is maybe how kids play with action figures on recess but not how to steer a billion dollar motion picture franchise... No wonder these films come off as fan fiction ***!

Simple, by providing lame answers or no answers. :D

Well maybe you and SNIKT can come up with an awesome alternate story that has Rey being the 87th character related to Darth Vader, Kylo turning to the Dark Side because he simply wanted the quick and easy path, and Luke bailing on everyone because if he didn't use his Ahch-To timeshare it would have gone to waste. ;)

Just said this too my friend today..

The new films have no direction.. There is no one person who fleshed out a three part series.

Flying by the seat of their pants and making it up as they go..That is what this is.

JJ was a huge part of the problem and that is why TFA was stinky..

The creators had no idea how to deal with some of the stinky ideas and so we end up with this greatly flawed film that is nice to look at but leaves us with nothing. I guess that could be considered daring and bold.. I will not say cleaver.. Its not cleaver to give no answers and stretch a 30 min plot into a 2 hour and 30 min movie. :)

Ah Khev.. One day you will see things my way... Why not save yourself some time and just start today ;) :lol

So he liked the film more then I did but I find it amazing that all of us that have issues with this film all saying the exact same thing.

Don't worry JJ will do that in the 3rd film.. These new films have no rules to live by :lol

TLJ was lazy written and disrespectful and butchered. Has any other movie with a big call to arms/lighting of the beacons moment had no one respond? That was yet one more moment in the film that was unexpected and cool.

Fixed that for you, sir.

Since there's really no throughline any longer -- very little story to stick to -- how can JJ miss? Whatever he cranks out will be fine, just fine.
