Jabba for one.

Did you see the pic that someone posted a while back reminding people of the scene in RO where Jyn is scanning the folders in the data vault and calls out "Hyperspace tracking" as one of the options? :panic:

I guess Tarkin nuking the site from orbit set that particular program back a few decades. :rock

And speaking of RO did anyone else notice Gareth Edwards' cameo in TLJ? He was the hatless Resistance fighter in the trench at the end next to the guy who rubs his finger on the red salt on the ground.

Force projecting was in the Dark Empire series. They didn't just make that up for TLJ. They did their research. And ever since the beginning, we heard ObiWan say, "strike me down I will be more powerful than you can ever imagine"....and we finally get to see that!!!

I really feel like so many people have missed details either from the original films or from extended universe stuff. I am no expert at all on EU stuff, but its not hard to search and find out things. And not everything has to be spelled out for us to understand. Its like the originals left us with a lot of unanswered questions for decades. I mean one of the most beloved characters in the franchise Boba Fett was barely in the films, had maybe 5 minutes of total screen time and then died a quick death and people went nuts over him because in their mind they could picture the adventures he probably went on in his cool outfit. But who was he? No one knew back then.

today i feel like everyone just needs everything spelled out. They can't use their imagination anymore. If they don't see something on screen, then they can't understand it or grasp it. It wasn't like that with the originals. We never ever knew anything about the Emperor, how he came into power, how he was a Sith, nothing about him for like almost 20 years.

Spot on, said this a while back much less eloquently....

So what’s the Kessle Run?

What’s a Gundark?

Who’s a Jabba? Fat man in a fur suit? Space slug? I don’t care what any fan says.....Lucas had no idea what Jabba was....to him he was a fat guy in a fur suit while making ANH.

It’s not really worth debating thou....to many latch key kids didn’t get to see a happy ending for the fictional character they admired more than any real person.....

I bet if Gareth knew what the final movie will look like he would take some hat and cover his face.

even NORMIE TV HOSTS are TURNING AGAINST THIS

The wave is turning!!!!!

Wow - excellent rant.:lol Doesn't hit all the points, but many of them.

I have a bunch of friends who saw this (who incidentally are not on this board, and not really active on social media) who had similar verbal eruptions. But yes, they could be described as "diehard fans." The consensus grade in the group on this movie was around 6/10, which actually seems to line up with that 56% or whatever is being reported on Rottentomatoes users.

A friend mentioned weaponizing hyperspace after the first screening but I forgot she brought it up. You'd think that automating fighters to go into hyperspace right in front of star destroyers would have FILLED the OT if it was possible.

Maybe in the next Blu Ray release of Rogue One they can insert a retcon somewhere.:monkey3

Posts like these make me genuinely believe you work for Disney in some capacity and are afraid they're monitoring your browser somehow lol

There's no ****ing way you actually like the garbage they did to Luke in this movie. Luke Skywalker, Jedi Master, son of The Chosen One and Rebellion LEGEND reduced to pointless scenes on an island and an astral projection fight with Kylo Ren.

The REAL Luke Skywalker would have arrived on that salt planet, Magneto'd those Gorilla AT-ATs crushing everyone inside, Force-choked Kylo unconscious, dispatched the Praetorian guards in seconds ala Yoda and killed Snoke by slicing his head off.

Disney gave us the opposite of that.

You forgot alien tittie milk drinker

The people who [claim to] love this movie especially love that bit. They see it as the perfect culmination of Luke's story dating all the way back to their first encounter with him in ANH. For 30 years, whenever they'd daydream of a possible sequel to ROTJ, they'd picture Luke milking the alien's **ts.

#WhatALoadOfCrap

Nobody really likes this movie.

Ironically the PT was the only trilogy that was planned out from the start. Both the OT and now the ST were made up as they went along.

Lucas had a treatment for the ST.

Wonder how Trevorrow fit into all this? Was he trying to retcon Johnson's work also?

Hamill said in an interview (3:49) that him and Trevorrow were on the same page about Luke.

Ignore all the complaints the game is a freaking blast to play.

There are visuals and set pieces that will drop your jaw as a fan of SW.

If you liked that sequence Khev then that is cool. You may be the first I have read that supports that scene.

But for me.. Yeah it;s the worst. Give me the Gungan battle anyday over this :lol

You know I actually did though I do recognize that most consider it one of the low points of the film. I thought it was really cool to see a glitzy and opulent hive of scum and villainy instead of the typical dives that other films have presented. I was just giving you a hard time about just how truly low you ranked it, lol. I don't have any problem with you not liking it or anything. :duff

why do you give a crap if people dislike her for her looks though ? i was just answering your own earlier question (why is everybody hating on her?) some people are hating on her onlinr because she looked dumb with that haircut. it might seem petty but some people called her jar jar based on behavior AND looks, a lot of people were mocking her looks online. this is not my problem goat, just telling you what i saw.

so engineers have to look ugly? thats pretty stupid of disney to say. they are implying that if you do that kind of work you look unkept? specially a woman? the more i think about it the stupider her look gets.

I say that from experience working in a Engineering Department. Not that they have to look ugly, just that they don't usually care about using makeup, revealing clothes etc..

I think your mistaking Luke for Vader...
