I absolutely agree with the sentiment behind what you're saying. I hate politics, in terms of "power". I think people should just leave each other alone, to let people go about their business if we care about kindness. If you're not bothering other people, why would people bother you?
However, the issue gets complicated in a world where people want to meddle in your affairs. If you can't escape the intrusion of other people trying to alter your behavior, making you do things you don't want to do, how do you respond? It's tricky, because on the one hand if you don't address the elephant in the room you get sat on. On the other hand, you don't want your life to revolve around power, because it's a divisive and depressing way to live.
The Last Jedi was propaganda, advocating for a kind of meddling in the affairs of others. Many will disagree with me, but should we have that conversation? I'd say there is no "should". If you don't mind being told what to do, then I guess there's no point in talking about it. However, if it's indicative of a problem... You're under duress to deal with the unpleasantness of it all.
However, you sound like my kind of person. Live and let live, except for the bullies.
