So they're gonna rewrite this because of "fan reaction to the protagonists" or something :

This is when **** hits the fan, by pandering to the fans. Next they're gonna rewrite again because of the shippers and voilà, we got ourselves another Legend of Korra.

I hope they're not true, I'm just saying, Disney is not above doing that sort of thing, if the MCU and the comics are any indication.

Why else would it get delayed?

Can be a lot of reasons, marketing strategy, rewrites that have nothing to do with what is rumored, logistical difficulties, pressure from the director, avoiding certain box office competition. Who knows other than those directly involved.

They're all solid imo, powerlevels aside.

Even Kylo, for as much a crybaby as he is, he's a good character, took me some time to get to like him.

I don't really remember Lando Peg Warming back in the day There was so many figures to choose from,it was hard to tell

My take on the delay:
-Similar release strategy as Ep7 but without the halo effect, Ep8 is gonna lean on the holiday multiplier more
-Practically zero tentpole competition during the holidays
-Moves it away from GotG 2
-Gives filmmakers more time

Lando and Leia both warmed pegs back in the day, little boys didn't want to play with girl figures, and well, what can you say about black characters not selling without making an nfortunately statement about society.

For the record, I had every figure.

I suspect you are right, especially about GOTG2, Disney doesn't want to compete with itself, especially since Star Wars and GOTG are very similar.

Maybe the script is just bad, and it need changing. This doesn't necessarily mean that they're writing anyone in or out. Maybe they found a gaping plot hole and had to restructure an act of the film.
