The conversation with Spazz was caught up too much in defining the process and labeling it. When you define it, it becomes an ideology. My aim, when I was doing his for a purpose, was anti-ideology. I couldn't define myself politically because there are elements from many political sides that are relevant at some point. That's why I dislike the concept of 'party' politics, of freely elected representatives being coerced to vote the way their party expects.

There is often something in a work of fiction that is born of agenda, ideology or belief. And you can argue that it's even there when it wasn't excplicity intended, because the creator is bringing their life experiences to the work.

It would be there in Lucas' films, but you may not see it because it wasn't rammed down your throat as strongly as Kennedy's feminist ideology.

It's why I argue that TLJ is clumsy. The result of being pulled in too many directions due to a necessity to include an ideological perspective. It's at odds with the simple, yet powerful, storytelling Lucas began with ANH. The first film could be characterized by the birth of the hero, and his quest to make the right decisions at every turn.

Now with TLJ the distinctly male hero has been torn down, and replaced by a female leadership. Kennedy has created a new battleground in the story that has more to do with the real world than the story itself. Here we also see the disconnect between the path of the story in TFA and the change of direction in TLJ.

Post Modernism is an ideology. You're talking word salad... which is very Post Modernist, but not rational. The difference between science and ideology is that science rejects value, because there's no falsifiable evidence to suggest that value exists. Post Modernism, on the other hand accepts all values as "narratives", or "subjective truths", where your understanding of obligation might conflict with my understanding, but no one is right or wrong. It's all a matter of perspective.

This leads to an echo chamber for dumb ideas. It's why feminists keep screaming at people, and no one but feminists find it persuasive. It's lunacy.

Why would Yoda burn books? His whole character was founded on education and mind over matter. Made no sense to destroy the past knowledge to learn by , its no different than Muslims destroying Christian relics in churches. Thank goodness Rey ( who can do nothing wrong) kept the books for safe keeping so that we will never know what's in them anyways, just another gaping plot hole.

Believe me I very much respect your opinion and well formed words very eloquently written I might add.

But see what Kennedy has done.

See what I have to read Kathleen!

You’ve gone and woken up the scholar giants in their great halls of giant pillars.

Can I please just have some pew pew pew splosions in my SW movie!

Man until I met you and Spazz I thought kara was already hard to decipher lol.

Forget deciphering Adolfo that cat operates at a 5th level dimension.

Anyone can learn about this stuff. People like me and Kuat just practice, because at some point we felt that it was important to look into it for some reason. I'm not hoping people will simply agree with me, on this. I'm trying to make you curious, so you'll want to learn about it. I write quickly because I practice... I probably write a paragraph in the time it takes most people to write a sentence, because I've been doing this from a young age. I'm not trying to dazzle anyone. I might be totally wrong about everything... The point is to ask questions, and get people thinking so that we have more eyes on the problem, presuming there is one within our culture.

:lol

It's been hard to keep my posts on target, because things crop up that have to be addressed before I can find a way to get back to the film in question.

I long for the escape of "pew pew pew splosions" as well!

I have such a love for Lucas' first three films, because they were that simple, powerful story. A comic book melodrama if you will.

Only later did I discover the elements that lay behind their creation. The same can be said of original three Indiana Jones films, and the fun I had discovering the elements and scenes he'd 'borrowed' from old serials.

But, as Dean Stanforth says to Indy in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, "
We seem to have reached the age where life stops giving us things and starts taking them away".

So we're faced with aggressive ideologies in our beloved Star Wars films!

Kennedy has woken the beast.

Hopefully JJ can put it back to sleep?

General Leia under Kennedy would hit the cat with one shot.

lulz

Really enjoyed the background on yourself here.....

I know anonymity is a prized possession on the web, but this was a good read...

After dealing with 3 identity theft issues I am much more reluctant to share and personal info these days....

But your post is inspiring.

Much appreciated glad I can inspire someone even if just one person as I also enjoy being inspired myself.

Don’t get me wrong i’m far from perfect make mistakes every day get depressed or angry at myself and others then get happy again.

I figured 61k posts might as well open up a little but there is so much more to me I really didn’t get into the details of what parts I pulled from each ideology that’s just too long and boring lol

Sometimes when I catch myself being hypocritical i’ll quickly pinch myself hard to snap out of it that’s one of our biggest challenges as human beings everyone is affected by that very ugly trait nothing you can do about it other than confronting it head on without hesitation and using guilt and shame to purge those dangerous emotions.

The best part of following both ideologies is that I never get offended by anything and even better I get to make fun of both lol.

Just remember one thing see that post you call inspiring.

For some that is 100% weakness on my part.

:lecture

This is one method of maintaining your sanity. :lol

I can argue strongly for one thing, yet see an alternative valid point of view.

And above all, find humour in things regardless.

Because without humour, what's the point?

Very true Xipo lol

So caught lol

LOL, how could someone give up those???

In actuality, the IRS notified me of someone filing a return under my 12 year old son SS#. This was several years back....

There were only two places that his SS# was filed....

Our health Insurance and the school system...(and our course the Gov)

The next two were the infamous Target and Home Depot hacks.....

Just bad luck....now it’s all VPN and False IDS for me.

It’s all good Spazz I appreciate the explanation but you really don’t owe me one.

Just be yourself and have fun that’s what I do although i’m also very mischievous and play pranks and try to trick or manipulate people into thinking i’m for or against something just for the lulz.

But anyways as long as you’re not a Nazi in disguise then we’re good.

I hate Nazi.

Why we had D-Day then allowed them to establish a life here is the biggest mystery in the universe.

If they were bad enough for the allies to lay down their lives to hunt down and KILL in WW2 why are they NOT bad enough to hunt down and round up NOW that just makes no sense to me.

What are they nice Nazis now what newer qualities do they have that gives them protection now but not then.

They shouldn’t be protected by the constitution is what i’m saying.

Can ISIS plant a flag here in the US?

No they can’t they would be rounded up immediately and rightfully so.

So why can the freaking Nazis plant their flag here on US soil what a freaking insult to all of the allied soldiers that died saving the world from their kind I just don’t get it.

Is it because they’re white and christian so they’re ok to coexist what is it someone please tell me.

Ughhhh forget it sorry i’m done lol

:lol

Sometimes being too smart is paralyzing to the soul.

I’m going on my 5th new card in 16 months lol

To be hacked is actually the norm now so just get used to it I certainly am.

Indeed....I have several friends in military security who have been helping out a lot...they keep me updated on everything new....

It’s pretty amazing what you can do now.

I played around with an OS recently that pretty much opens up all encrypted traffic on public networks....

There is something you should never use...public WiFi.....it’s a damn playground.

It’s kinda like using a scanner in the old days.

I wasn't a post modernist, in that I didn't adhere to an ideology of post modernism. (You could also do a Marxist reading of a work without being a Marxist). What it did was open my eyes to a different way of looking at things. It was a starting point from which to view texts. You put all the possibilities, the "subjective truths", to the test. Not with the aim that they remain as acceptable possibilites, but that they are dismissed until you're left with that thing that you can assign to be true.

That's the process of researching history. But, unlike science, you will not always be able to finally arrive at that single truth. You're left with possibilities, and the decision to choose the best possible truth.

As Yoda tells Luke in Empire Strikes Back, "Always in motion is the future."

Well, his future is our past.
