What’s pissing me off even more is Kennedy attaching Hillary Clinton’s face to SW so now where no split existed before (hate for PT was universal) there is a conservative vs liberal battle forming with SW which just sucks.

Ever since Disney took over the series, I feel like they are pushing certain messages with these movies in almost propoganda fashions. Instead of using art to raise awareness or stir thought, it feels like they're treating movies like, we've got you locked in for a few hours, we're going to tell you how to think and feel, and it extends a bit even to the Marvel films.

For example, the DJ dialogue with Rose and Finn about how the rich profit by selling to both sides of war and it's in their best interest to stir up wars was just way too blatant for me, they could have had things happen where an intelligent viewer could have started putting pieces together and think to themself, you know, it seems like those in a position to profit have stakes in creating and supporting war and that's wrong, instead of flat out saying it the way they did.

There were moments I definitely enjoyed a lot though, like the encounter between Luke and Yoda, though at first CGI Yoda looks bad but after the first 30 seconds or so of screen time, it starts to feel like Frank Oz was working the puppet again.

Yoda in TLJ is a puppet worked/voiced by Oz.

I have always maintained though that the 3D Imax aspects of their presentation were stellar on a technical level so maybe that’s where you’re getting mixed up.

Sorry but you don't watch every movie in the franchise, and more than once, unless you love them.

Well Riddick that’s accurate but from a certain point of view.

I love the grand technical presentation because i’m a tech geek so yes I will revisit them as show off presentations to wow myself or friends who come over.

I spend hours calibrating just the 3D in my tv so i’m using it dammit lol

But as narrative presentations sure they’re bad but even they have better acting and dialogue than AOTC and that’s really sad for AOTC.

In other words I think that dumb Transformers at least 1-3 are better spectacles than the dumb PT where grand visuals are concerned.

PT have great sound design and soundtracks though i’ll give Ben Burt and JW those.

But the point you raised was am I being hypocritical.

Damn dude, reading those comments from women is brutal. Girls are far harder on other women than men are IMO. Guys typically focus on what they find attractive, but we don't spend a lot of brain power tearing apart women we are not attracted to (we sorta just move on).
