Rey speaks Wookiee the same way she can understand BB-8: she's awesome and fierce and badass and if you can't HANDLE that???

Nazi.

Micro-*****ed Nazi.

All agreed, just referring to the conspiracy theories being bandied about a couple pages back that Luke’s death was thrown in during post production. Of course it’s possible they always planned for a couple ending options.

Ben gets a brief moment from Luke and Leia in ANH and then they move on to the TIE gunner station scene. All he gets from Han is another “old man” reference. His death is then never mentioned by any character in the rebellion again as far as I can remember.

But Luke, Han and even Leia didn't really know Ben Kenobi (it's so lame you now have to write Ben's last name to avoid confusion with Ben Solo... as if Han would EVER have named his son - presumably - after Ben Kenobi. Named by screenwriters looking for symbolism apparently.:slap:lol)

Luke had also only just met Ben a week or so before Ben died. He was more just a gentle, wise old man who gave Luke some great lessons and insights into himself, and Luke expected more tutelage from him as a father figure/mentor, but the reality is, it's not like Luke really knew/loved him.

So it's kinda appropriate that there's shock and sadness about Ben's death, but they get right back to business. But with Han's death and Luke, it's a totally different situation. They had been through so much together, and both had changed a lot as people from their meeting up to the end of ROTJ.

Personally, in the way Luke's death is covered in TLJ, it seems to me that Hamill shot scenes that showed him recovering after the force projector thing - and probably did in the script he was working from, but they decided to kill him off to give the film more of an emotional kick and did it via CGI (I don't fully believe the idea Disney had him killed off because Hamill was mouthing off.)

More time was spent mourning coral in finding nemo. But hey, we got a 45 minute casino scene which makes up for that.

Canto Bight... a name that shall live in infamy.:rotfl

Canto Bight FTW.:rotfl

It really had no emotional kick. It was so deflating and felt more, “WTF, shouldn’t they have been figuring out how to off Leia?”

Good points all around. I can’t remember, but does Luke ever get told that it was Ren that killed Han? Seems like an important piece of info. Also, does anyone in the resistance know Leia is Ren’s mother? The movies just ignore all these things.

this is a perfect video
short, to the point, with great animation

watch this please

So, say for example everything changes with digital movies, can it be possible that Lucasfilm can change TLJ like alter the whole casino scene off a film and edit and possibly change the whole movie that way?

They would need to do it now and release the blu ray immediately.

Ep. VIII The Last Jedi "Damage Control Edition"

Pre sales in China for TLJ are only about $30 million, which is less than Rogue One

No bumps on this thread in two hours?

I'm disappointed. We can't "let the thread die"....then Kathleen wins.

We need more salt. Enough to cover Crait twice over.

You're doin' pretty good job at addin' that pseudo-sarcastic salt by yourself tho.
Keepin' the dream alive, I guess... :D
