"Be-ben, Ben." "Luke, you will go to the Porg, titty, walking fish island system....There you will learn how to burn stuff from Yoda the Jedi master who taught me. After full training, then only then you will be able to face Kylo and die on a rock."

All I know is that Khev dipped and left me hanging higher than lactating titty’s on a cliffside. :lol

Speaking of higher come monday TLJ is set to surpass Beauty and the Beast and become 2017 highest domestic earner.

Go Rose Go!

Ha, ha, ha.......

I’m banking for a homer as well not because the movie was great but the fandom needs to die.

All the pissing and moaning in this thread from borh sides now has me routing for.Kennedy/Johnson/Lucasfilm/Disney whoever to destroy the fandom....it’s long been a disease

:lol :lol :lol

To paraphrase Luke; "It's time for Star Wars Fandom to end."

I actually liked the Porgs. But the 'caretakers'... seriously the worst pieces of **** I've seen 70's Doctor Who.
Did you read about the deleted scene? The one with Rey running with the sabre that we saw in the trailer?
Thank the gods it didn't make the final cut. :rotfl

No I haven't, so was that a real planned scene, I was starting to think it was something shot just for trailer fodder like the Godzilla 2014 trailer using footage never intended to be in the movie.

The trailers made you think Rey would actually learn how to be a Jedi and refine her raw abilities in this film, but the actual portrayal is like she needs no training, she'll just be amazing all on her own.

Yeah it's from a scene that was cut.
She sees a fire, and Luke tells her that raiders are attacking the caretakers camp. Tells her not to intervene or they'll just come back and cause more damage.
She starts running to help them, but when she gets there, it's actually just a traditional celebration with camp fires.
She goes back to Luke all pissed and he tells her something about the balance and the Jedi or whatever.

No proper training as you can tell.

This woman's ridiculous beak not only took me out of the movie but pushed my head into the back wall of the theater.

Look how artfully and carefully Rian Johnson lit her enormous shnozz in tasteful silhouette as a metaphor for the delicate balance of the Force...the dark and the light.

Immediately after viewing dailies of this shot it was reported that Johnson went back to his trailer where he wafted his own farts up to his nose for 45 minutes, telling himself what a genius auteur he was.

O-M-G... I totally forgot about her. I always feel really terrible for negatively pointing out a body issue, but every time she was onscreen I felt like Austin Powers in the "mole!" scene.:lol

What a waste, that shot really had me thinking we'd get something the likes of a Rocky training montage with Rey, but as Luke said, this is not going to go the way you expect.

Wait is this about her island deleted scene running with the saber?

Yes

CNN is reporting that the word Agenda died early this morning of exhaustion.

The words Inclusion, Appropriation and Diversity will be making the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to Disney.

That's very edgy and contrarian of you! :lol I agree. All this concern about quality just gets in Disney's way. I say, let them do endless victory laps with intellectual property they had no hand in creating. Even if it sucks. Who cares about mythology? Who needs culture, in a world where we can sell every success to the highest bidder, so it can be bastardized into a lifeless parody of its former self?

We should just be thankful for the porgs, and move on. To hell with Western Culture. Innovation is overrated.

:lol :lol :lol

To paraphrase Luke; "It's time for Star Wars Fandom to end."

In a decade, Star Wars Fandom will be alive and well because it's driven by love and the good kind of obsession. And The Last Jedi, despite its $1.3B global take, will be mostly forgotten because its driven by the need to modify a brand and of-the-minute political division (and is about newness via demolishing, not creating.)

SW fandom is a monolith that graffiti and urine cannot mark in the long haul.:lecture
