So basically if Disney doesn't use diverse actors they are racist... and if they do use diverse actors its only because of money and they are racist?

No, just write a good story and make the characters worthy. Tons of diversity in RO and TLJ, but the characters were developed in RO whereas they were totally token and throw aways in TLJ. Why introduce Holdo instead of using Lando or Akbar in her stead other than to have a female in that role? Lando would’ve been superb in that role! Holdo was undeveloped, preachy and dull.

It didn't work, at all.

But for some she was perfectly showcased and utilized while still simultaneously fulfilling Disney’s regional box office needs.

to be honest I don't think her character will go over well in china. The chinese are very critical of chubby / overweight people and they're not very accepting of african americans (quite the opposite actually). IMO Rose being chubby and kissing a black guy won't be selling points at all in China. I can post plenty of links to support what I posted, but folks can google it themselves

I think PewDiePie said it felt like they just had a contest for a SW fan to appear in the movie and she won. Spot on.
