I was just thinking, it’s crazy the timeline of this new trilogy, so far two films have happened covering a time span of merely a few weeks, where previous trilogies had years in between to expand on characters. It’ll be interesting to see how much time passes between 8 and 9. I think they need years, how can characters grow in the story without time passing.

Well on the flip side of that even a 32 year gap since ROTJ hasn’t stopped fans from complaining about the lost victory, resistance creation, FO and the OT characters with me being one of them.

Han’s seperation with Leia, Ben’s birth, Luke’s seclusion, rebellion’s victory, FO power accumulation etc etc.

32 year gap exposition was frustratingly ambiguous to say the least.

A few pages back DiFabio’s deconstruction perfectly broke it down by highlighting how the conflict is stuck in a perpetually convoluted state of affairs obviously perpetuated by the need to keep the brand alive.

Ok the conversation can go back to the rage fever over Holdo’s hair color, isn’t it just horrible.

There's 30 years between ROTJ and TFA.

And no chance of seeing Han, Leia and Luke in live action in those years without new actors.

It's time for a high quality animation series, with realistic likenesses rather than those cartoony resemblances that they're fond of producing.

Who's thumbing a lift off Ahch-To, and having to resort to force projection instead because nobody wanted to pick up a space tramp?

(He might've have had more luck dressed as Space Jesus).

I hear Luke "purposely" sunk his X-Wing so that he could never leave the island. Then he used the Force to leave the island as a film projection. Why didnt he just fly there like Leia?

I wish. They can't do it though.
A couple episodes would cost as much as an entire movie's production.
Some video game trailers like the Old Republic ones can take a year+ to make and they are only a few minutes long.
That's why the animation style in Rebels is so cartoonish.

You’re grasping at straws now. Or merely looking for a fight.

Stating my perception that a lot of (not to be mistaken with most) people that are vacuously fervent about their disdain for the film seem to be on the lower end of the spectrum, when I’ve seen their garbled and illegible tweets, texts and posts... is pretty self explanatory. There’s no need to get your panties in a bunch. However, feel free to continue, if you so desire. :lol

"vacuously fervent about their disdain"? :lol Yes m'lord, but is it bombastic or grandiloquent to speak of such folly, in verbose terms? :rotfl

I didnt mind the animation on the later Clone Wars cartoon. Rebels is decent but the animation is a bit low in my opinion. Disney's Netflix programming is said to have new Star Wars content planned and that's where I think Dave and the crew of rebels are heading. It's another ****ing cash grab and they will more than likely have no Star Wars cartoons on the basic Disney Channel. Everything Star Wars will have a premium price point on it and only available with subscription, I did hear the Disney streaming service is being tested in the UK and its reasonable priced so that might be the advantage. I guess if we want more Star Wars we better get ready to pay for it.

Yes I liked the style in Clone Wars. Not mind-blowing but this stuff is so expensive to produce, can't really ask for more than that...
Rebels is way too simplistic though, makes sense as they are spending way less money on it than George did on Clone Wars. He loved Clone Wars, and it was really getting super interesting when Disney pulled the plug. Rebels is so childish and lacks depth in comparison.

Yeah I wonder what they are planning for their streaming service. Whatever it is, I'll download it.

I liked the use of light and shadow in the Clone Wars series, and you quickly get used to the style of the characters. But I'd like to see a lifelike approach, presuming they own the rights to the actor's likenesses.

Me so smart, you no like movie? You baked potatoes.

Me insult you all instead of well thought out argument, but me no rabid, me enjoy, not like you ‘majority’ of 50% RT reviews. Me hip.

LMAO!!

In ESB instead of Luke getting upset after being told by Vader that he was his father why didn’t he just trick Vader by fake accepting Vader’s offer to join him then once back out on the catwalk with Vader grab and throw Vader and himself over the edge?

You can take SW/ESB or any movie and apply “Why didn’t he, she or they” all day long if you like.

During the trench run in ANH why didn’t the rebellion install rear firing guns on their ships if they knew they were going into a trench run where they could be easily followed?

Why in TPM didn’t all the soldiers simultaneously fire at Darth Maul when the doors opened up before he even ignited his saber instead of Qui-Gon saying we got this? Would’ve taken 20 seconds to overwhelm and kill Maul or keep him busy enough for the Jedi to take him out right there and then. Isn’t that how order 66 played out?

Why why why.

Yep. Why didn't Tarkin just blow up Yavin instead of orbiting it. Why didn't the X-Wings enter the trench *much* closer to the exhaust port, why didn't everyone at the Rebel base just get on cruisers and fly away when the DS was preparing to fire, why did the snowspeeders fly toward the AT-AT's from the *one side the AT-AT's have guns.* Etc., etc., etc.
