:lol yeah...

A while back, I was babysitting my three nephews (ages 10,7, and 4) I took them to a local pier to get them outside and get them lunch. We went to one of the little food kiosks to grab some fish sticks and fries. I found the picnic table closest to the kiosk and had them sit there. I told the ten year old "watch your brothers okay...don't let him (the youngest) run around".

I walked the five feet from the table to the ordering window, glanced back to the kids, saw they were fine and turned back to order. Order placed (why are fishsticks so expensive), turned back around, and saw a slouching, older man, wearing a blue hat, covering ear length gray hair, talking to my three nephews at the table. My heart went nuts and I flew over there.

I acted hostile right off the bat saying, "hey...can I help you?..." The man responded by saying "oh uuh yeah, I was just wondering if they knew where the bathroom is" At this point I was like...hell no..."there are plenty of other people...ADULTS here you can ask that question...go" I said. "alright man ****" and off he went. I kept those kids glued to my side for the rest of the day.

That freaked me the **** out :lol

So the witch kidnapping the baby...and luring the boy creeped me out big time. That aspect of "don't talk to strangers" definitely hits people differently and probably hits parents the most. And with that said, the Georgie scene in this movie did transport me back to my "pier experience" briefly. But I think because I'm so familiar with Pennywise and the sequence of events as well the stylistic nature of the whole film, it didn't stick as hard as The Witch.

In summation...Your Witch Kanata and Kennucas sig is way scarier...:lol

Holy crap epic post is epic lol

I wasn't scared of the Witch tbh. i don't know. I guess some parts were very unsettling but it didn't scare me I can't remember when a horror movie scared me. I think Paranormal activity 3 scared me a bit towards the end with the witches coming out from various places. But Yea IT isn't a scary movie but it's damn good and creepy. Like a fun type horror movie. Like being in a haunted house at an amusement park scary. Love it.

Yeah I can agree with this.

PA1/PA3 I felt the same as you did same with Blair Witch original as well as Sinister.

I still need to watch Conjuring 2 and Annabelle Creations I keep reading they're good.

There should be a ban on jye watching horror films so he can't get any more disturbing ideas for his photo edits. :rotfl

lulz

Hey man I really had to go that day. Those kids looked like they knew where stuff was.

lulz

I figured it was either you or SNIKT. Glad to see my instincts haven't suffered too much in my old age :lol

:lol. I won't fault anyone for disliking that movie. Its a tough sell. I actually watched that movie with my wife and my mom. They both hated me afterwards :lol

Maybe the scary factor is being saved for the Adult chapter. If people remember the mini series, one of main characters killed himself when Pennywise kept haunting him as an adult :dunno

Yeah...unsettling is synonymous with my feeling I described earlier about The Witch. I forgot about Paranormal Activity. The first one definitely affected me a little. I was living in an apartment by myself at the time, so the imagination definitely ran a little wild. I ended up putting on the Linda Carter Wonder Woman series to fall asleep to...as well as trigger a different part of my imagination :lol

It is definitely fun type horror. I dunno...maybe like Tales from the crypt :lol

Bojex was basically in Dexter mode that day. :lol

:lol damn Maybe I should watch that show for some tips. "my cubs" :rotfl I can relate to that line

Yeah, now that the "origin story" of the heroes is out of the way. We can get more into Pennywise.

Family movie night at crows house lol

I still can't believe this was actually filmed.

This could never be done today:

Oh it could be done, but instead of a cross she'd use a selfie stick then upload it to her social media pages for her demonic teenage friends. :lol

I watched a lot of horror as a kid -- ya, kind of ****ed up but I wasn't the one paying for my blockbuster membership lol. Near enough every week I was renting out different horror/monster flicks and the occasional action ones with Arnuld. It's funny because I only saw the The Exorcist film for the first time a couple of years back (I don't think it was available on VHS or any format over here until late 90's, which by that time I'd already watched the second one parts of the third) and it is every bit as great as its reputation holds.

First time I watched Nightmare on Elm Street, while generally giving me the ****ing creeps throughout, the scene that had me screwed in the head for weeks was the part where Tina appeared at Nancy's school in a body bag and then shows up later on and a ****ing centipede comes out of her mouth! I couldn't eat properly for about two weeks without almost vomiting. :rotfl

After getting through that I could handle any horror. Well mostly. :lol

On It movie:

"A popular fan idea for this film is to have the child actors from the original film return to play the adult roles. However, Bill would have to be recast due to the death of Jonathan Brandis. Marlon Taylor and Jarred Blancard, who played the roles of Mike and Henry, have both said that if they were offered the chance to reprise their roles, they would accept."

I heard it is. But I guess the stakes are lower cause they know what they are dealing with

Plus it gets kinda stupid to see this clown mess with adults.
Gets kind of dumb to see this clown mess with full grown men

Lol why do people think they would of done it. Some are even upset it wasn't involved. I just learned about it. I still can't believe that was written in.
