Speaking personally, I think any respectable citizen who pays to see a movie and puts effort into going to the theatre has every right to complain to the staff if someone else is being discourteous, but at the same time, I'd never leave the theatre as a result after already driving there. You pay to see a movie, not to endure discourteous jerks. Otherwise there's no real point in going.

Bringing your complaints to a manager is perfectly fine especially if there aren’t other seats for you to move too so going to the manager might be your only recourse because if you confront the talkers you can then be removed just the same for creating a disturbance, think about it.

:lol

I wonder if the theater manager looked up from the customer service desk and saw SNIKT angrily marching toward him across the empty lobby for the third time and quietly thought "aw for **** sake..." lol

Oh man I can just picture kara opening night at the managers desk filing his complaints...

Exactly why I've left every time and gotten my money back. I don't cower down to anyone. I'm not changing seats and hiding from people. I'm asking people to please be quiet and when they refuse and continue talking I ask management to help. Problem is even though the theaters claim to enforce policies against cellphone use and noise they won't just kick people out. As soon as they leave the room said people go back to talking and I'm back to having to get involved, in a more intense manner.

The mistake our society made and continues to make is tolerating the **** behavior and not standing up against it. That's what got us to this point in contemporary American society where the in-theater experience is all but ruined. People WILL do what they think they can get away with. The people who are reprimanded in public for being disruptive are embarrassed by the situation and are likely to think twice about doing it again. Naturally there are some extreme cases where they wanna throw down with you outside for telling them to be quiet or just don't grow at all from the confrontation - case in point, during my screening of Mother!, both Black dudes who sat in front of me and my brother wouldn't be quiet and disrespected me and my brother (two White men) for bringing it to their attention. I replied with "Let's talk outside, fellas. 2 on 2 seems kosher, no?" Naturally, they refused the invite and left to another theater where they could continue adding loud commentary to the movie.

I think Screening Room is the last game in town. 4K transfer of the film you wanna see in your home on the same Thursday night it opens in theaters for about the same price as two movie tickets.

lol why'd you mention that you and your bro were white?
And that reply you gave them .sounds like a reeve superman quote . Go get em

It's funny but understandable tho.
Circus used to be a big deal here before 2000's.
They protest against something that discredits their dyin' profession.
Plus it's free advertising for your troupe via media whores. :lol

I wondered what happened to your review.

Three times? It's that boisterous? I hate the modern movie-going experience too -- cellphones and all -- but I can generally tune things out at some point. It's a scary movie with a clown -- people are going to be antsy, nervous and full of adrenaline.

How the hell do you deal with Star Wars fans in the theater? I find they over-laugh, over-cheer, and there's always "that guy" who has to point out everything to his friend.

There was a guy during opening night here for TFA in 15/70 who kept texting. The guy next to him told him to stop and EVERYONE in the theater joined in to demolish him. Then silence resumed. Sometimes a great crowd can successfully vanquish social pests.

Lol truth. I'm just surprised America hasn't . With so many " representations " out and making people upset I was expecting to see a bunch of protesting clowns outside the theater crying about how they are being misrepresented
