Anyone know the cancellation policy thru Storm Toys. I couldn't find anything on their site, I sent several emails. I finally received a response wanting to know why I wanted to cancel then nothing. last order they'll get with me......

Anyone who wants to purchase this figure at cost once released let me know. I assume I am keeping the order. Storm Toys wonderful policy handling customer questions they don't want to answer is to stop responding to any form of communication to cancel. Buyer beware dealing with this class act........

Pretty much.....I'll try to resale at cost and chalk it up as lessened learned...word of caution to anyone ordering their other products if this is the service they provide to those wanting to cancel, I cannot imagine the service would be much different if something is wrong with the figure. First and last purchase thru them , they suck balls big time........

So what was the reason you wanted to cancel?

I'm not trying to defend them but they are a small team/company and they take orders/money up front so they can go into production. I never ordered from their online site directly but does it mention you can cancel anytime or say once order is placed, you can't cancel?

Different companies have their own policy. I don't blame them if they won't allow cancellations. You just make sure you want the figure from the start before clicking that payment button.

The reason why I want to cancel doesn't matter, it was shared with them. Oddly enough, the only response from them was very similar to your question about why I wanted to to cancel when the figure as it is due to ship next month. It was shared with them then all communication stopped.

Cancellation policy isnt posted nor did they share it when I asked. I am assuming the figure will be delivered since I haven't heard back from them nor received a refund. At this time, the way the situation has been handled I am not confident the figure will be delivered since PayPal limit has expired and there is nothing I can do if it isn't delivered.

Other custom shops charge a fee to cancel mid production so I don't buy they need funds to go to production. The point now being the only response I received was a question with no follow up or follow thru and a paid customer has no idea what is going on. A shady business, with shady business ethics is shady no matter the spin you want to put on it. Storm Toys sucks dude bottom line....

At least if they responded to tell him deposit was non-refundable that would answer his inquiry. As it stands, they've left him hanging after being sent multiple emails which is terrible CS. Glad I PO'd through BBTS.

Exactly.....the handling of the situation makes me question whether I'll see the figure at this point. I hope their reputable enough to at least honor the order.

How long ago did you place the PO? Paypal extended it's coverage up to 180 days from what I recall reading here, did you contact them about opening a dispute?

Based on their previous releases, Im sure you will get your figure in time. Storm Toys/Collectibles as far as I know in HK have been known to take their time with their releases, due to manufacturing delays etc, but in the end they still delivered the product out. I know some mainland companies take even longer without any facebook updates at all. Those are much higher risks and its best to order from a local retailer.

I agree from your comments that they do need to work on their CS, but I know they are a small team and they dont have the resources to provide that kind of service/response.

Just to clarify a thing here, the figure that is supposed to be released next month are for the customers that bought from the Toy Souls event in HK. (That includes me)

As for the other online/retailer versions, they have not set an official date of release for those, so expect some more waiting.

Plus just to ease your concerns, I haven't heard anything bad about them from local collectors here in HK. Maybe just the delay thing but that happens with all companies.

Even though PayPal has extended buyer protection to 180 days, I don't know if it covers "I've changed my mind". I don't think they've done anything for you to win a dispute against them. I guess you could try though.

I know it can be frustrating not getting a timely response when money is involved, but stick with it Darkseed. Maybe they are in the process of getting back to you with a favourable response.

You sound like a company spokesman with a list of excuses :wink1:

I wasn't taking about production delays moreso the lack of trust I have the company will ship the figure I paid for months ago. They lost my trust and confidence that their a reputable company when they blatantly stopped responding to inquiries. Most folks here (myself included) work professional jobs that require some sort of written communication be fit into our daily schedule so the size of the company is a lazy excuse. It takes minimal effort to type an email response (sorry no cancellation policy, 10% fee on cancelled items or we will look into it etc.). Bad customer experience leads me to wonder what experience they provide on returns or defective products. Shady, shady practices that excuses don't make go away.

I once broke a foot on one of their figures, & they offered to replace it free of charge. I paid to ship the leg to them, but they replaced (or fixed) the part, & paid for return shipping at their expense. Since I broke it, I guess they could have denied me a free replacement, but they did it anyway. It was a pleasant experience, with emails back & forth concerning the issue. But, I think at a later date I had a simple question concerning a figure shown by them, & was basically ignored. Weird.

Haha. If I worked for them I would reply to you for sure.[emoji6]

It's a bit extreme to distrust them now when it's so close to release. I've had no problems when I contacted them. Then again I have seen them face to face and visited their office as well.

I have a few orders with them too. Maybe it's just me but so far I hardly have to contact any company about cancelling orders etc. I usually get the latest info from local collectors and any Facebook news.

They aren't perfect but they deliver their product. Their aren't your typical eBay scum at least.

Last time I visited them, I asked them once about updating feedback more often and I could understand why they chose not to sometimes.

They said they would end up spending way too much time on replying one after another. Repeated questions and more new ones opening up with each answer. When I say they are a small team. It's just two guys. One sculpted only. Seriously they do their own packing and shipping when the goods get to their offices. They have families to attend to. I'm not making up excuses for them but if you didn't want the figure. Just don't buy it from the start. They are not bbbts or Amazon. Cancel when you like or pay on release.

If they don't deliver the product on time or any problems with the figure then sure everyone has the right to ***** about them. Just my 2cents.

That kinda makes sense as to why they didn't answer something that I might have felt was a simple inquiry. Seemed kinda weird after them being really helpful before that, in a situation that might have been way more of a hassle to deal with.

Yeah I see what you mean. The guys admit they aren't a big company and know they have limits. Hopefully that will change once they pick up the pace with their products. I just hope they end up releasing the figure up to the standards that I've seen in person.
