Not trying to rain on anybody's parade because if you got one, you should be happy. I'm trying to be positive and "oh well" about it but this one bites. It could have been any other Marvel PF from the past year and I wouldn't feel like this. But it had to be the one I like the most.

Never mind me, I'm just trying to get it out of my system. I don't have anything this limited of a character I love but I do have some older stuff that newer collectors would love to have, so I should still be grateful.

I did. With 150 I'm not expecting anything though. Looking back at this thread it seems it Sold Out with a "Checking Inventory" marker on the page, and then went back up very briefly before another Sell Out. By the time I discovered this the page said sold out the 2nd time and had no waitlist button. I kept refreshing for several minutes until the Waitlist button popped up and soon as it did I jumped on. So I imagine I was pretty early but I figure it makes no difference with this one since it's shipping. And just because I got on early doesn't mean I'm 1st. I imagine if there's any conversions at all maybe a handful at the most would convert, very slim chance.

Hmmm...I know it sounds crazy to some, but I like your chances. Not saying it will happen, but if you got on THAT early, I'd say you have a good shot. There's always something that goes wrong on a handful of orders. Someone's CC is not updated or gets rejected for some reason or another, etc. etc.

Agreed. Some undoubtedly purchased it with the expectation of selling it. That means some may try and flip it short term and not find a return they expected and have to pass on the statue all together within the 30 day guarantee. Just keep hope alive. I think some would pay just for the low Ed but only true fans of this variant/costume style will be willing to fork over the big bucks. If you want it for the character just be patient and I'm sure you'll find your way to one without paying insanely inflated fees.

Insomniac here who always enters sideshow comic on giveaways at 800 in the morning. I was going to buy the black one anyway but complained about the black costume. I got in on the storm by sheer luck. I think it looks badass. I know its not comic accurate, (outside black panther comics) I think her costume design is better than Jim Lee' but looks better in white. Its like the best of both worlds.


Like it a lot with no intentions of flipping. I have the regular colossus on flex pay. Last two of the fourth scale x-men I need for the set....until the next one comes out.

Hope Jean's not fifth scale. I'd be torn on what to do. Jean is one of my favorite xmen. I would love to see Magneto as well.

Mine hasn't shipped. They're having to check my credit card with me being a new customer. I've sent all the documentation they've asked for, but with the time difference it may not ship this week. Don't want to give anyone false hope but I'm worried there's a risk they will decline my card so don't give up hope if you're on the WL!

Well Chapter 2099 and TheHulksAnger, it'd be nice if you guys are right, but if not, tough for me. I'm not the only fan of the character who missed out. I'm sure there's plenty not on this board who are bummed. Just the way it is sometimes. I won't be paying the flippers though, I'll foucs on what's to come.

Good for us that Jean is a PF, so it's 1/4 scale.

But this white costume isn't completely accurate in any comic...I have almost every comic she and BP appear in together, including the ones before they were married. What I don't have I can name off the top of my head. She had a similar costume she wore in Astonishing X-Men and Black Panther: The Man Without Fear designed by Simone Bianchi but it had more details.

Phil Jimenez mixed Bianchi's costume with more of the original version in later issues of Astonishing X-Men. It's close to the black version but not quite an exact recolor as Jimenez kept a few of Bianchi's details (the neck thingy, the arm bands). Plus you can't tell by these angles, but it kept that big ole "X" on it above her breasts from Bianchi's version.

If SS added a few details it would have been spot on, but the cape would have had to change the most since the comic accurate version exposes her shoulders. Sorry for the nerdgasm.

Thanks! just got on it now. Whew, better than no chance! I don't mind missing this. I do thanks SS for making this hobby exciting with this. Let's get more of these 150 ES statues! If I miss them I don't mind paying more to get it since it's more rare.

I like the white but I prefer the black. The yellow on the white doesn't look right. Not to mention it doesn't come with the exclusive head which looks amazing! By the time I woke up at 8.30am she was sold out anyways!

CBG is the biggest pony/fake on this board bar none... He has NO love of the actual statues he buys... He loves the numbers on the bottom more.

You know what I agree it does suck for true Storm fans who missed out. I could have got this on the second round of availability, but I stopped my self. I would have ONLY bought it to flip it. I KNOW I could have doubled my money easily, maybe made a lot more, but I had just read all of these guys on the board who were s disappointed that they missed it.... I just couldn't take a chance away from them....... I will admit I was very close to completing an order though.

It's funny the black Storm didn't get much attention change her costum to white & stick an ES of a 150 on her & people are going crazy for her.

Just imagine if they did this with one of the big guns. I know they did before with Hulk & Spidey but SS then weren't nowhere near as big as they are now.

I am absolutely crushed by this. I got the email and immediately went to order. This is a statue I was even watching the proof on in ebay debating getting...only to miss because they sent me an email about a sold out statue...WTF?

I mean, if you have Zero chance of getting what you want...what is the point of this hobby? So you can be gouged by some a-hole flipper having the same statue shipped/drop kicked twice?

This wasn't even teased, I mean, come on, how are you supposed to have a fighting chance? This type of thing isn't exciting or fun.

Thanks, but what's the point? This actually robs the excitement of seeing this piece become available. Pay double on ebay? For what? Trying to order as soon as I learn it even exists only to find out the twitter/FB followers had already gobbled it up. That makes it ok how?

This doesn't feel like a hobby. Gambling? Lottery? Completely random happenstance if you were in the right place, able to order.

I got the email to buy it about 2 hrs late. I see a WL for some members. Where is the link? I just got off work so I want to get on the WL. This one at 150 es? Come on how can i resist that? I would buy it to keep or maybe use as trade bait for gladiator hulk, or galactus down the road. As for collecting I always said I just about quit and will sell off just about everything. But I never said I will never buy another statue ever again. I already said I might get gladiator hulk and maybe a few others. Once the ES is this low I'm going to buy. really how can I resist? I must admit I don't see the point of SS doing things like this. If they want to do a limited drop they should do what 3A does & have an open windows to order for 24hrs then your only got your self to blame if you miss out. I didn't want this but if I did I would feel completely gutted. I was ill at home yesterday & still missed it
